Sunday Killer Link Love Post #34

July 18, 2010 · 18 comments

This is another weekend, as usual, each weekend I compile and share 10 useful and interesting articles from blogger fellows, article topics include blogging tips, affiliate marketing, make money online, traffic building, social media, search engine optimization and etc.

Obviously, I had more time online and writing articles this week, unfortunately my new house (not mine, my brother bought it and I stay with him) still doesn’t have network port, it might need to wait about few weeks or months, that’s killing people who have a blog and need to maintain regularly. Anyway, I would like to thank all the guest bloggers who submitted guest post on this blog and help to update and fill in more informative articles, I appreciate that. Febap Liew is one of the regular guest blogger on this blog and he is writing about make money online tips in BlogXic, she is good in writing and she knows what she is doing, you may visit her blog and read what she is writing.

Top 10 Sunday Killer Link Love Posts

1) 7 Things More Important Than Dofollow Links – SiteSketch101
My main objective here is to encourage you to do other things that will help you more than chasing a dofollow comment link. The jury is still out on whether or not comment links have ANY weight at all. I am actually running some tests right now with a clients site where that will be the only links we get for the site, but he is paying me to to so, I would never do that on my own sites.

2) How to Massively Improve Reader Participation on Your Blog – Blogussion
A blog is supposed to be a dynamic website; a place where blog owner and readers can come together in a single community designed to offer communication and the relaying of thoughts. For the new blog, and even for some of the more established blogs, getting readers to participate in discussions and leaving comments can prove a difficult challenge. Take heart, though, because it is possible by following a few guidelines to improve blog reader participation.

3) 9 Sure Ways To Get Your Guest Post Rejected – DailyBlogTips
Getting a guest post accepted on a popular and relevant blog is not as easy as it seems. Below you’ll find 9 ways that are guaranteed to get your post rejected. Are you guilty of any?

4) The Niche In The Blogging Haystack – HowToMakeMyBlog
alk about being lost in the crowd, my chosen niche is filled with so much information on the web I’m surprised I’m at all where I am today. My competition is multi billion dollar companies with their company blogs, Doctors, p.h.d. types, anything that ends in ‘pedia’, professors, and tens of thousands of little voices like mine all wanting your attention on just one subject.

5) Blog launch: 5 Tips For Success – CatsWhoBlog
Everyday, more than 10,000 new blogs are created. But how many are still maintened 3 months later? Probably less than 1%. Launching a new blog is never easy. First, you have to make it known to the audience and get it indexed by search engines. But the biggest part of the work is to show your authority and make visitors come back to your blog. After launching several websites myself, I’m going to show you 5 tips to launch your blog successfully.

6) Why Your Blog Needs a Mailing List – Kikolani
For many bloggers, myself included, the thought of a mailing list is the furthest thing from their mind when starting out blogging. And many others think of mailing lists as only something you need if you are going to be selling your own products or affiliate products to your subscribers. This, however, is a false assumption. I would say that anyone who is looking to get into serious blogging should start creating a mailing list as soon as possible. This is why!

7) 5 Steps To Impressing A Longtime Jaded Blogger With Your Comments – FamousBloggers
I’ve been blogging for six years now. While there are certainly bloggers who have been around longer than that, six years still puts me into the “longtime blogger” category. In that time, I’ve written thousands of blog posts (on my own blogs, as well as blogging on many other blogs), so I’ve been able to experience all of the joys and all of the headaches that come with blogging. After fighting off nearly a million spam comments during those six years, I consider myself to be extremely jaded when it comes to assessing the worth of a comment.

8 ) 4 Tips To Help You Stay Focused on Your Blog – DailyBlogTips
Most people who blog also have a full time job or occupation (i.e., school), not to mention other personal activities (e.g., friends and family), so balancing everything can become tricky indeed. In fact if you don’t plan well your blog is probably the one that is going to suffer first. That is, when things get messy or overwhelming, most people just abandon their blogs.

9) 5 Keys to a More Successful Email Newsletter – SiteSketch101
Email newsletters are touted by many as one of the most profitable ventures online. Internet marketers are constantly bragging about how easy it is to make affiliate sales, to promote products and to drive traffic to websites. Email newsletters can accomplish all those tasks and more but there are a few things you might want to keep in mind as you work to maximize the effectiveness of yours.

10) Tips to use Google’s Keyword Research tool effectively – DailyBloggr
One of the most popular tools used by SEO’s in Keyword Rsearch is undoubtedly the Google AdWords tool. There are many other tools available, like WordTracker, Yahoo’s KW research tool etc, but Google’s is most reliable as SEO’s consider Google’s data more accurate. Oh! Personal Ramblings

This week was slightly tiring as I was rushing something else. Anyway, I just went to a Japanese style event named “Bon Odori” yesterday, nothing special because it held once a year in Malaysia. Full of Japanese food stalls, and Japanese presentation at the stage, the area was crowded. I spent the day with my girlfriend and her family.

As I stated earlier, my new house doesn’t have the network port so I couldn’t online at home, so I’m writing this blog post in a cafe named “Old Town” which has wifi available. I’ve been using my current handphone Nokia 5700 for more than 2.5 years, I’m a Iphone fan and I’m planning to own Iphone4, unfortunately Iphone4 is not available in my country yet until September. Also, I heard that there was some problem with the antenna and has yet to be fixed. At the same time, I get to know that Samsung is launching an iphone lookalike phone named “Samsung Galaxy S”, 90% similar to iphone but the price is lower than iphone 1/3. I believe that Samsung Galaxy S is going to launch soon in my country and I’m planning for it.

How’s your day buddy?

Hi Lee
His one is really good; 10) Tips to use Google’s Keyword Research tool effectively. But Google maybe not tell the whole truth about the Google AdWords tool. I use Google AdWards tool in combination with the normal Google search. Look at this video and you going to understand what I talking about.

@Lennart,
That looks new to me, anyway I’m not using Google Adwords tool for my keyword research, I’m using a paid tool named “Micro Niche Finder” for the research. Thanks for the link, I hope everyone would benefit from that.

I read all of them but what I enjoy most is “4 tips to help you stay focused on your blog”, reason? Coz its mirror of truth out of busy scheds we treat blogging as past time and hobby that we often update the content. But what we not normally know that this hobby/past time can bring lots of money that knocks our door. Well I say this coz lots of blogger I knew are successful now they have their car, house and time for their family coz they work at home. Just love what you doin, hire SEO Consultant to optimize your blogs (optional) and the money start to come along.
