Sunday Killer Link Love Post #28

June 6, 2010 · 19 comments

Each weekend especially on Sunday, I’ll share a list of 10 interesting and useful articles from blogger fellows, topics cover blogging tips, traffic building, social media, search engine optimization, make money online, affiliate marketing and etc.

Google just do a Google Pagerank updated today, unfortunately I don’t see any changes for most of my blogs and websites, but it doesn’t matter as long as they drive traffic and generate earning.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, then you should know that I’m holding a guest posting contest which gives out $800 worth of cash prizes and premium wordpress themes, the contest is going to be ended at the end of June, it has only few contestants collect enough points in this contest, you may have higher chance to win if you join now. You should also read the guidelines and updates for the contest.

2) 3 Things to do When Your Traffic Spikes – Blogussion
Most bloggers make the critical mistake of doing nothing when a sudden increase in traffic happens. Some don’t know what to do but celebrate and enjoy the abnormal traffic jump. But, there are some things you can do to make the most out of it. When I say make the most of it, I mean there are certain things you can do besides celebrate ad actually convert most of your visitors into subscribers, or just someone who leaves a comments or even comes back again.

3) How To Get Hundreds Of Tweets & Comments On Your Blog Posts – ViperChill
Twitter is consistently a top 10 referring source of traffic to this website. Every day I receive targeted visitors from the site who tend to stick around for quite a while. If someone you’re following puts a link out there, there’s a good chance it will be relevant to you because you’re following that person in the first place.

4) Finding Your Blogging Inspiration In 3 Easy Steps – Kikolani
What is inspiration and how do you wrangle it to propel your blogging efforts forward in a more purposeful manner? Being that I’ve been a musician myself for 25 years, I’ve had a few experiences with inspiration and I can tell you inspiration seemed all too very random in the early years. Today I have a different perspective.

5) 7 Tips That Will Make Your Blog Stand Out – HowToMakeMyBlog
Let’s be ultra-honest here; most blogs are boring as heck. They look like any other blog, their content is like any other blog – and they are as forgettable as any other blog. Great blogs stand out because they have unique brands behind them ! There’s only one Gary Vaynerchuk, one Chris Brogan and one … YOU!

6) How I Earn More With Twitter Via Sponsored Tweets – WeBlogBetter
Some of the offers were from previous advertisers I’ve written for, so I went ahead and accepted them without much thought. Some received a click or two, nothing that would make me rich, but the more I thought about it, I realized those clicks could add up to more than what I charge for sending out one tweet from a traditional offer.

8 ) Why SEO is Getting Fuzzy & What it Means for your Blog – Blogussion
Those days are gone though. Search engine algorithms are getting very clever. No-one out side of Google HQ knows exactly how the rankings are decided and even if you did, a lot of the key criteria are no longer things that you can directly control anyway. This means that SEO specialists have a much harder time setting out exactly what needs to be done to achieve the best rankings. The notion of a simple formula to achieve top rankings has gone out of the window.

10) Analyzing the Value of a Blog Post – AltitudeBranding

The hope is that I’ll help you consider how you might analyze your own blog performance, content, or other initiatives, and illustrate a bit about the longer term results of a blogging investment.

Personal Ramblings

I just came back from a 2 days 1 night trip to Sekincan and Kuala Selangor (a state in my country) with my girlfriend and friends. Everyone was tired but we enjoyed the trip. Sekincan and Kuala Selangor is a nice place for relaxing, it has a very big paddy field and beautiful beach. We took photos at paddy field and sunset at beach, we ate delicious seafood, and we played UNO card games together at night.

As you can see from the pictures, the sunset at the beach is very beautiful and I hope I can go there again. All the photos were taken by PowerShot but I forgot the model as that was my girlfriend’s camera. I hope you enjoy this week Sunday Killer Link Love post as I shared some really nice looking pictures as well as the picture of my car that I promised you guys last week.

How’s your weekend? Did you go anywhere? Did your blog or website gain some Pagerank?
