Sunday Killer Link Love Post #31

June 27, 2010 · 12 comments

I used to collect 10 useful and interesting articles from blogger fellows on every weekend especially on Sunday, article topic covers blogging tips, affiliate marketing, search engine optimization, social media, make money online, traffic building and etc.

The guest posting contest is going to be ended soon on 1st of July 2010 and the winners will be announced on 10th July 2010. In fact, there is only less than 5 bloggers who collect more than 20 points or I can say that other bloggers didn’t even collect more than 15 points. With that said, all the cash prizes and premium themes would not be able to fully giveaway, so I’ll do another giveaway for the balance of prizes, or I may add some additional prizes. I’ll do an update for that, stay tuned.

Top 10 Sunday Killer Link Love Posts

1) Getting Mass Traffic From StumbleUpon – ViperChill
Many bloggers end up having a love-hate relationship with StumbleUpon. They love the amount of traffic that the service – which now boasts over 10 million members – can send, but they hate the conversion rate on that traffic. ViperChill received 12,040 visitors from StumbleUpon in May, yet their average time on site was just 26 seconds (overall site average is 2 minutes and 24 seconds) and they each viewed around 1.22 pages.

2) Marketing the “You Know What” Out of Your Blog Part 1Part 2Part 3 – Blogussion
Marketing a blog is pretty much like marketing any thing else. It requires time and commitment. It also requires patience and consistency, and a willingness to use a bit of elbow grease.

3) 5 Reasons Why You Should Respond to Every Comment – DailyBlogTips
If you enable comments on your blog (which I’m sure most of you do), then you obviously want your readers to interact by leaving comments after your post. Then why, I ask, does it usually end up being a one-sided conversation? It’s like giving a presentation to a group of people and not responding to questions and comments from your audience. It just seems rude, but for some reason it has become standard for bloggers not to reply to comments made on their post.

4) How I Increased My Affiliate Commissions By 30% In One Week – CatsWhoBlog
It’s not a secret that most on my revenue from CatsWhoBlog is comming from affiliate marketing. For those who don’t know, affiliate marketing consist in making money by reffering clients to a company or person that sell a product.

5) 101 Blogs That Accept Guest Posts – PiggyBankPie
A couple of years ago I put together a collection of 52 blogs that accepted guest posts. It proved to be very popular so a new updated list is below, this time featuring 101 blogs. Over the past few years Google has become increasingly aggressive at removing clean link sources and, with nofollow now more prevalent than ever before, guest blogging has become one of the best ways to build relevant high quality links, whilst also placing your website or blog in front of a targeted audience.

6) Avoid The 10 Surprisingly Common Blog SEO Mistakes – BizChickBlogs
Probably because blogs have been, mistakenly, touted as natural search engine magnets, all on their own and without help. This isn’t 100% correct. The good news is that blog SEO (search engine optimization), once it becomes a habit, is relatively easy to do. Basically, you want to be found in search engines for some common keywords in your niche that everyone is searching for, right?

7) 5 Tactics Bloggers Should Borrow from Traditional PR – Kikolani
Bloggers have been hailed as “citizen journalists” and powerful influencers for years. But bloggers have another, less frequently discussed role – they’re also citizen PR experts. Bloggers who intend to stand out need to manage their brand, interface with readers, snag media exposure wherever possible, and craft compelling messaging.

8 ) 7 Effective Ways to Get Quality Traffic to Your Blog – TechNShare
Having been blogging for quite sometime now, I have come to see lots of blogs. I have seen blogs come and go and I have seen blogs skyrocket to high success almost overnight. One major thing I could discover from those blogs going into oblivion is that they lack traffic.

9) Smashing Tricks to Writing Eye Catching Titles – BlogGoDown
Shopping is a fun activity and sometimes you do it just for the fun i.e you do window shopping. In window shopping you are not actually looking to buy any products and that is why you are just glancing through the products. While you are glancing through a clothes shop, you will see many mannequins displaying very beautiful clothes (Usually they are one of the best of the stock). These mannequins give us a teaser trailer to what we can expect in the store (Even though it might not have clothes of the same quality or standard). If you don’t like what you see outside, you will not bother to see what’s inside. If you really like what you see outside, you will be compelled to see the shop and you might end up buying some of these clothes.

10) 4 Tips to Deal With Publishing Posts When You Were Not Supposed To – DailyBlogTips
Publishing a post when it is not supposed to go live happens to all of us. Maybe you hit the “Publish” button when you really just wanted to save the draft. Maybe you scheduled it for a wrong day. Maybe you published it and realized there is major section missing. Regardless of what happened, here are four tips that I learned from similar mistakes.

@Febap,
Thanks for your kind word Febap. The blogging journey is long and full of challenge, try your best to break the wall and success in the near future!

Also, I’ve received your guest post, I’ll need to take some times to publish it as there is a few guest posts in the queue. Also, I’m switching my network to the new house, so I couldn’t online at the night time and I got to work on day time. I’ve less time to take care of my blog, I’ll try my best to go out and find restaurant which provides Wifi. ;)

Keep in touch Febap!

Hi Lee! I have read through most of the articles above. I think the “7 Effective Ways to get Quality Traffic” is worthwhile to read deeply. Thanks for sharing! Yet, England lost to Germany already. :(
Anyway, good luck for your exam too! :)

@Kok Siong,
Yeah England didn’t play really well on their defense. Between, it was a sad case that one of the goal had been denied by the referees. No doubt, Germany was playing very well. Thanks Kok Siong for the best wishes.

Too bad, I’m switching my phone line and network to the new house, it might takes quite some times and I’m not able to online too often. :(
