You may have just imported products from China for the first time, but you don’t know what to do with them. If you had a brick and mortar store, you could simply price and display the items and wait for the profit to come in. Fortunately, with advancing technology, having your own business no longer means owning a typical storefront. There are several profitable ways to sell China imported products both online and directly to the consumer.
Sell China Imported Products Online
The more potential customers you can reach, the better business you will have. This is why brick and mortar stores compete for the best locations. When you sell your China imported products online, however, you can easily reach many potential customers at once. If you are serious about getting into the import business, you could set up a storefront on your own web page. Buying a domain name and web space is inexpensive and you will likely regain the cost of setting up your web page. With your own storefront you can completely control the flow of information, allowing the consumer to see why buying from your company is their best option. To successfully run a business from your web page you will need to promote your website and possibly run advertisements so that potential customers know you’re out there.
An easier way to sell online for those who are not comfortable with creating their own website is through a marketplace website. These sites allow you to sign up for an account and sell through a bigger named company, guaranteeing that your product will be seen by potential customers. Amazon is a good marketplace site that is easy to use and is backed by a trusted name. With an Amazon Marketplace account, you can set up your own virtual store front but have Amazon take care of the technical aspects such as payments and support.
The auction site eBay is another one of the profitable ways to sell China imported products. At eBay, users make bids on a number of products, which can mean bigger profits for you if many users bid on a single item. You also have the option of listing items with a Buy It Now price at eBay, so you can set a flat price for users who don’t want to bid.
Sell China Imported Products Directly
Selling products that you import from China online may not be for you, especially if you don’t like having to deal with shipping costs and packaging. Another profitable way to sell China imported products is through direct sales to the consumer. There are a few direct selling methods that do no require you to have your own storefront. Local auction houses are a good way to have your item sold directly to the consumer. Some local auction houses may be particular about the types of items they will list, but there is the potential to earn a large profit if several bidders compete for the same item.
Flea markets and local trade centers are another way to sell China import products directly to a consumer. With a flea market, you will only need to pay to temporarily rent a booth. As flea markets are typically open for weekend business only, the cost to rent a booth is usually cheap. Selling at a flea market or trade center makes for a faster return on items. Flea market shoppers are bargain hunters, so your China imported goods will sell quickly if sold cheaper than retail price.
These are only a few of the ways you can sell your items online or directly to the consumer. Of course, the most profitable way to sell China imported goods is to combine multiple selling options to get the most customers. There’s no reason you can’t utilize all these selling methods at the same time to quickly turn a profit.

Hi,
Great resources you mention there.
I had a question:
“these sites allow you to sign up for an account and sell through a bigger named company, guaranteeing that your product will be seen by potential customers. Amazon is a good marketplace site…..Amazon Marketplace account…”
How can we include only Chinese products through Amazon? Are you talking about only chinese goods in this sentence, or all products (including non-chinese)?
Also, is this the ‘Amazon Associates program’ or is ‘Amazon Marketplace account’ something different?
Thanks,
Nabeel
Hi Philip! It sounds like interesting to import products from China and sell it online. However, is the products promise the quality or not? May i know why it will be cheaper than others? If the products quality is low, it will not be a good idea to sell it to others except we have mentioned about it.

Considering how much of the world’s good are produced in China, quality is not really an issue. If you insist on the lowest price for something, you may find that the quality is a little off. You just have to find manufacturers that you can trust.
If you offer a return policy, than I think you will be busy doing refund =P
Dropshipping gives you a lot of potential to make some really good money online without the costly overhead of ordering stock and having to ship twice.
The only problem with dropshipping from China is the wait. If the delivery is quick, you can expect it in a few days but from my experience it always seems 2 – 3 weeks – by that time, people become a little disgruntled.

I don’t think drop shipping from China would be a very good idea. Most people want delivery quicker than that. If everyone’s delivery takes several weeks, except a lot of negative reviews about your company.
Interesting. I’m on way to start selling products online and I think this is a nice way to start.
However the quality of products need to be considered or you might get your reputation on the line.
A very interesting read. I like this idea:

Personally if I was going to invest in importing some products from China, I would take the time to setup my own website to sell the products. It just has the greatest sales potential. If you use a marketplace website you have to regularly pay extra fees and you often face other limitations. With auctions, the profit margin is simply too low. As for direct sales, you just have to do too much work per sale.
em, i guess nothing wrong if we want to sell china imported stuff. It really give us great return if we do with right method.

This is a great way to make money online, you can buy in bulk for very cheap and sell it online for a good profit. Ebay is a great place to sell your products but it can take a while to build a good reputation but once you do and if the item is in high demand you will sell.
Yeah… Selling stuffs online is great. But I still prefer passive income that don’t require capitol. ;)

I agree Jayce. Importing products to sell requires both investment money and time. It is much easier to setup a bunch of small niche sites. Then you can get money coming in even when you’re not doing work. When you’re directly selling anything, be prepared to deal with a ton of customer service and other issues.
