Niche blogger used to follow various blog promotion techniques and tricks to promote their blog. They want to drive more traffic to their blog regardless of direct traffic, referral traffic or organic traffic, most probably their intention is to drive maximum traffic and make money online. I’m using a plugin named “Lucia’s LinkyLove”, or you may read the Comment Policy and I’ve stated about it over there. I set it to only follow commentator who leaves more than 10 comments in this blog, so regular readers might take advantage of it.

Sorry friend I only know how to add 3 column footer section in Thesis Theme but not other wordpress themes. Perhaps you need to ask wordpress theme designer and I’m sure they can show you how to add it.
Great points about guest posting. It is one of the most powerful promotional techniques for a blogger. In a lot of ways it is just like writing articles for articles directories, but far more beneficial.

Authority. By doing some guest blogging or posting within same niche of yours or at a particular niche that you are expert of, you will gain massive attention from other people. Thus, giving your name some kind of authority in terms of that niche.
