You are most probably trying to make money online or maybe you have made a few dollars online. This post is not for those who are established or those who are making great income online, it is for those who are yet to make money online or those who are still struggling with little income.
Having a business plan or a list of things to follow will help you ease your work and guide you through doing things successfully; the purpose of this post is to outline some great things to consider before ever trying to make money online.
1) Learn From Others Who Are Already Making It
It is very evident that one of the easiest ways to shortcut your success is by learning from those who are already there.
Information is good and learning is great but I must confess there are just too many people without experience posting what they don’t know on the internet, many of them will try to sell what does not work to you and many of them might just give you inaccurate information (maybe for the benefit of their search engine optimization).
One of the best ways to grow and achieve success easily is by learning from those who are already there; it might either be by reading their blogs, buying their e-books, joining their membership sites, or getting it for free. 2) No Such Thing as Overnight Success
Making money online is already over hyped in the offline world and you will see people who know nothing about making money online telling you that they will soon start in the online world and begin to make thousands of dollars online, these type of people have deceived the majority and many people just think you can come online and begin to make money online.
Making money online is not that easy and if you really want to make decent money online your first year, you will have to work very hard and wisely.
There is nothing like making money online overnight, it takes time. You first have to build your reputation and do many other things so take your mind off making money online overnight.
3) Having Money To Spend Makes It Easy
Making money online is an act of wisdom, I mean the wiser you are, the more you will make. There is a great difference between those making $100 online monthly and those making over $1000 online monthly. It is all about being wise.
If you really want to make it big online then you should have money to spend, I mean the money you can use to take your business to the next level.
Money like this can be used to outsource most of your tasks, pay for hosting and the likes – expecting everything for free won’t help and might eventually cripple your online business.
4) There are too much Scams Online than You Could Ever Imagine
This is the truth many people won’t like to hear, but what do you expect to happen in a world where there is no police and where anybody can come onboard and do anything irrespective of who the person is and where the person comes from. A criminal can certainly sit in a prison and be making money online scamming others (once he could get access to the internet).
“Not all that glitter is gold”, don’t expect every opportunity to be unique. It is true that there are real people making money online who are ready to share their formula with you but you must be very careful because in the same vein, we have those who do their best to scam people online – The truth is, these scammers are becoming wiser and wiser by the day so you must beware of who you buy from, make sure the person is credible and reliable.
5) Have a Business Plan
Another very important thing to consider is having a business plan. This should be the most important thing in your online business, you should know what to do when this happen and where to go if that happens. You shouldn’t just rely on one thing but you should be able to diversify, improve upon and keep on testing new things because this helps you in your overall business life.

It takes work, time and effort, just like any other business.
Many people believe that the web is just a magic wand, which will give them untold fortune.
Many people also give up very early on in their web business. This is also because of the hype created by scammers, which give them hope of having success in ONE night!

Having a business plan is what I consider a very good point because if that is in your mindset making money online will be seen like a real business and not just a quick to make some money online and your point about seeing more scam than any real thing, you just have to be very careful, we are all greedy in some way but working with a plan might help in helping us keep our hard earned money!

you have compiled the points up well. This is exactly what any newcomers should read if wish to learn how to make money online.
I can relate to every one of the points given. I wished I had the chance of reading such post before i started learning how to make money online. It would definitely have helped me a lot during my initial start.
Extensive post ahead.
1. Learn From Others Who Are Already Making It
I started out completely oblivious to what making online is all about. I had always thought it was all about selling and buying from ebay or amazon ( truthfully ) I started totally from scratch, learning from the internet without any form of proper direction. It was a nightmare. But apparently, i progressed and improved of which then I got to know about Ewen Chia, #1 world’s super affiliate marketer. As I gradually get to know more about him, i slowly began to accept him as my mentor. I have been to many of his workshop, classes and bought his products. I can boldly say that having a PROVEN mentor really helps you alot. Getting right on track is very important because if you don’t, you may end up wasting your time to later find out that all is in vain.
2) No Such Thing as Overnight Success
Indeed the offline realm has definitely hyped up the provision of having an online busy. True that if done successfully, making money online can be very rewarding but not at that instant.not without effort. Initially I was too hyped up by that fact because I really wanted to be ‘somebody’. I was all over the place. Scouring on every possibility that i lost focus. Eventually, it took me quite a leap to realize the proper way of doing things. That is to be realistic. =)
3) Having Money To Spend Makes It Easy
This relates with my very well. =P. Initially as mentioned, i started out all over the place. I went on trying with PPC ( without any proper knowledge ) bought crappy ebooks ( most of it scammed ) and purchased a web host ( for i don’t know why ) i wasted money so I thought I could make money .WRONG! in the end, i got so scared of it that I told myself to quit paying for anything online. Not giving up on internet marketing, i continue pushing but refused to pay for anything anymore. this went for quite some time , about 5-6 months itself. i did make money but it wasn’t much. Till the day i finally had the courage ‘buy’ something of which it gave me the utmost BOOST in making money online. therefore, spending money is essential but it should be done wisely.Do not follow on my footstep.
4) There are too much Scams Online than You Could Ever Imagine
Classic. I fell for that at the initial stage of starting out. Why? because I was so into making money online QUICK that i went on believing every product that would make me rich. ” REAL SECRETS TO GETTING 7 FIGURES IN WEEK” , ” MAKE $ 50932,543.78 IN 3 WEEKS ” stuffs like that.
Basically, based on my experience, people tend to fall for scam because of how they think. So, be wise and be realistic. The only thing that will make you rich within a night is either you got lucky and hit on a jackpot [ which is not likely in a 100000000000 ++ years ! ]
5) Have a Business Plan
Having a business plan and staying focus is very very very very important. In times to come, you would be constantly fill with more possible ideas of making money online. you will sway and tend to go for something that you find is better. But that is not the right way. Pick the right niche, the right business, the right marketing strategy and work on it no matter what information you will be fed with. If not, subsequently you will fall all over the place. Which spells doom if you are a newbie in making money online.
