Affiliate marketing has always been very useful for online sellers in marketing their products. This type of internet-based marketing practice provides rewards to affiliates for every customer they bring. You can earn money as you are rewarded with cash or even gifts when you complete offers and provide a number of referrals.
By joining affiliate marketing programs, you will have endless ways of earning money from home. Just about anyone can join these programs to make money immediately. Some programs would even pay as high as fifty per cent of their product’s price if you are able to effectively sell their items. You can sell just about anything, from e-books, software, website hosting and templates, and a lot more. The following are steps on how to become an affiliate marketer in the online business industry.
1) Select a Specific Market Niche
Search for a particular niche that could attract the interests of a wide range of buyers. There are many ways to search for a hot niche. The best method is to have a look at what people are searching for. I would start with Google Trends. There you will find the popular searches and hot topics for the day. Also keep your eye on Amazon movers and shakers as well as the Stuff to Tweet website.

When you are able to choose one, you can then search Google for the best affiliate marketing program that offers your chosen niche.
2) Build a Website or a Blog
If you find creating your very own website difficult, you could always make a blog from blogging sites, such as WordPress, that offer free sign up.

Creating a blog is easy as pie. No need to code a website or design from scratch.
3) Join Affiliate Programs
Sign up for affiliate programs that offer your chosen niche. Basically, if you choose to focus on certain items, such as beauty products, then you should sign up for affiliate programs offering beauty items. I would suggest having a look at the Clickbank marketplace. This is where you will find a whole range of products to promote on your website.

4) Write the Contents of Your Blog or Website
If you already have an affiliate program to with your niche, then you could start writing topics that are related to your chosen products. You should use keywords and tag lines that are highly-researched so that visitors will traffic onto your web page.
5) Start Advertising Your Affiliate Programs
A specific aspect that search engines look at is that how many websites have been linked back to your web page. These back links can be made by leaving your website URL in forums, comments on blogs, and writing a variety of articles. Another recent way of back linking is by the use of social networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook. Articles are also of great help when you attach your website link as footer. All of these could increase traffic to your web page.
If you have been familiar with these steps, you could start marketing another type of niche and repeat the steps mentioned above. With this, you will be able to bring more money in as you begin to utilize more of this affiliate marketing programs.

Maybe you can check what’s other established blogger or website in your niche affiliate with, or search in Google (with proper keywords – I am sure you already have), and also check what type of Adsense advertiser put their ads in your website… From there, you will have some rough idea.
It will be easier to run some affiliate programs relate to health food rather than drugs(medicine) as they confine by certain rules and regulations.
Anyway, looking forward on your findings and maybe this can be another topic in your blog. =)

Hey Lee,
Affiliate marketing is a well known phenomenon these days everyone is aware of it… however still people fail in it. I think the main reason of failing is that the wrong niche selection is the root cause of it.
