Hey Lee,
Great points, I think the reasons are almost same for both bog and website. I feel that the main reason is being lazy, laziness has no place. The real work starts after creating a blog or website and if we honestly devote time it doesn’t take time to get the blog monetized.

My thought is this: Most people quit because they had no idea how much work it was to begin with. For the first couple of years, you can’t quit your day job which means you have to work non-stop and most people just can’t do that.

Yes, most of them are lazy. They just want to earn money but never want to work harder, when they’re not able to make money, end up they’ll quit. One more thing, if they never invest any money to buy their own hosting and domain, they’ll never work harder because they will think that they didn’t lose any money, so they leave easily. If they’ve invested their own money, then that’s different story. :)

many of my friends give up and get lost form MMO and blogging world. I’m not blame them because they admit they lazy and thing that this is not their playground. So, just go and get your paycheck every month. I love to get my paycheck everyday. So, i countinue this road even all of us know it fullfill with crazy situation..

So, if anyone still want to quit. Try first 3 month blogging test. If you can keep posting everyday in 3 month. You can start make money with your blog. Believe me, not many clear this stage. But once you clear this stage, you can become great blogger and can make money.

Yes, you’re right! Motivation comes from their ownself, they have to set a target or goal for themselves, goal and target motivate them to work harder to achieve it. Of course, supports from friends and bloggers will help too. Just keep on blogging and enjoy doing it. :)
