Whenever some one starts a blog with a single goal of make money online through their blog, the first thing that comes to mind is Adsense. Yes, the oldest PPC network started by Google that allows bloggers and webmasters to display other ads related to their blog niche and when some visitor clicks the ads, they get paid.
Adsense was a huge success in its initial days. Lots and lots of people registered with them and made fortunes. The pay-per-click rate was good and the ads shown were relevant. But, like everything, Adsense too had some limitations.
- Payment only by check – This was the main factor that reduced the popularity of the Adsense. The payment was only made by check which took months to reach Asian countries like India. There was no option of payment by PayPal.
- Minimum payout was high - The minimum amount you were required to reach for the payout was $100. And for the beginners, this amount took months to reach. So, new bloggers stopped using Adsense.
As a result, new ad networks came up that offered various payout options and much lesser minimum payout amount. Bidvertiser, Adbrite are some of the networks that still exist. Bloggers and webmasters are using them and still making money.
But I feel that Adsense is still the best PPC in the modern era. No matter what is their minimum payout and the payment options are less, Adsense still have the edge over other networks. Reasons :
- Ads for every niche – Adsense is so old and reliable that majority of the companies and firms like to advertise with them only. So, they have ads to display in blogs of almost every niche which makes it quite popular.
- Good PPC rates – Adsense offers much better PPC rates that other ad networks. So, you can see account balance increasing fast if your blog enough traffic.
But remember, neither click your ads nor ask your friends to do so. Google will catch you for sure and will inform you when your account will reach $100 i.e. when you will be eligible for your first payout. So, while you are busy celebrating about the check you will be receiving, Google will ban you from Adsense permanently.
Guys, I still trust Adsense as the best money making option for new blogs. All you need to do is to follow some guidelines and avoid every fraudulent activity and you will succeed. Happy Money Making.

Adsense is actually one best money making tool out there. However in my personal opinion, in order to really make money with Adsense, you need to have a high amount of traffic. I think that where most people normally fail.

In my point of view, not only high amount of traffic can make you Adsense money, you’re required to get tons of ORGANIC TRAFFICS, especially traffics from US. If you have this kind of traffics, I’m sure you’ll earn very well with Adsense.

You are right, organic traffic from the US is really important. I find that Malaysian is a bit reserve when it comes to clicking on advertisement. I myself never click on any advert at all

I agree with Lithiummind, Adsense requires lots of traffic to make a decent amount. It also seems that people are getting more savvy and avoiding clicks on Adsense like a plague. But I agree it’s still one of the better ad networks to make money from.

It goes same to me, I did’t click Adsense ads after I knew what was Google Adsense years ago. But it’s still the best ad networks for CPC ads.

Be patient is a must-have attitude, many people can’t make money from Adsense for the first few weeks and they quit. You have to put your effort and keep building your blog, that’s the only key to make you success.

Yes. Adsense stil has the best ppc rates for their publishers.
The one reason I still prefer adsense is that despite there are other ad networks they are still the best known name and so attract the market share of advertisers. If the day ever comes when another ad network out shines adsense I may swap but for now I am definitely loyal to them.
One important thing about adsense is that it is a must to read their terms of service. I hear so may people complaining that they had there account closed for no apparent reason. Yet when you point out that they had violated the site by using various methods such as traffic exchanges or openly discussing earnings/ cpc they said they never realised that they were not allowed to and still state that they have been treated unfairly.

Adsense has lots of different categories of Advertisers, no matter what content you have, they will still display relevant ads in your blog to maximize your earning.
As long as you write articles and receive organic traffics, don’t click your own ads or ask other to click, no 18sx content, no gamble content, etc. If you follow the rules, you’ll not get banned for no reason, the game is still going.

AdSense is definitely the first and foremost monetization instrument for any blogger. Though so many other CPC networks came in, they are still ruling and gives the best possible earnings per click.
Yeah definitely. Having the right ad, keywords and traffic can bring you some good money with Adsense. They have a really high payout..

Thanks for dropping by Ben! I believe that having the higher paying keywords in your post and optimizing it wisely, most probably you will get more search engine traffics, and most of the clicks come from organic traffics. Ben I believe that you did a great job by selling banner ads, right?

You won’t make a lot of money from Adsense if you have only 1 blog, you need to build several niche blogs to make more money with Adsense. I agree with you that affiliate marketing is good to make money from internet today, but it’s not my way right now, perhaps I’ll step in one day later.
