WordPress is a very popular and well known blog platform, I believe that most of the blogger would prefer to use WordPress instead of other blog platforms. One of the reason is because WordPress has tons of plugin available on the web or the WordPress authority site for you to download, it makes you more easier to customize or manage your blog. I’ve just downloaded a wordpress plugin called alink, it’s useful and easy to operate.
Here I list down a step-by-step tutorial on how you can download and activate the plugin.
- Download the plugin, extract the zip file, and copy paste it into ur FTP (Plugin folder).
- CHMOD 3 folders to 777, which is “plugin/alink/logs”, “plugin/alink/modules” and “plugin/alink/tmp”.
- Activate it in your WordPress cpanel
- Click the aLinks in ur WordPress cpanel, click keyphrase.
- Scroll a lil bit down and you saw this row. Fill in the keyword you want to be linked, Description you can either fill in or leave it blank. Fill in the Url that your keyword link to. Click updated keyphase. Done!
- You scroll up a little bit you will saw this, your keyword has been added.
- This is the example, saw a arrow besides “Food” ? If someone click the word, it will bring them to the Url you fill in just now in Step 5.
The Advantages of Using Alinks WordPress Plugin
- You just need to write your blog post as usual and alink plugin will link the keyword automatically. It saves your time to insert the link again for the similar keyword.
- It helps your blog in term of search engine optimization. Easy for them to grab your keywords.
- You can bring your reader to other post, increase your post views.

Thanks for the offer John, I hope I can sell you too, but the file is in my previous laptop and I’m not able to get the data yet. I’ve gone through the net and realized that there was no alink plugin anymore. If I’m able to retrieve the data from my previous laptop, I’ll contact you John. :)
alink is an excellent plugin but the developer who is vladimir prelovac is busy with his works and he found no time to update it to work with new versions of wordpress. it would be great if he did, you can make up lots of internal links through that.
sorry I was mentioning about smart links. but alinks don’t work on new version of wordpress too, I have tried it.
