Everyday thousands of individuals and small business start their own blog. Sometimes for fun, sometimes for pleasure but in most cases to earn some extra income. I’ve earned some extra money just from blog contest, I’m sure you like to know how I look for blog contest and make money online.
Unfortunately, some individuals have been ‘brain washed’ by the hype and think, “I’ll create a blog and within days or at most weeks, I’ll be earning thousands of dollars”.
The reality?
95% of the blogs are shut down within 3 months.
4.5% struggle and continue…HOPING things will turn out fine.
0.5% go on and make some money.
(These are my gut feel figures and I bet if we did some research, the real figures wouldn’t be far off).
To improve your chances of being in that 0.5% I have one piece of advice for you.
Get advice from someone who is already in the 0.5% and suck them for all their knowledge.
Here’s another piece of advice, make sure the person advising you is recommended by someone you trust.
Why?
Because there are some individuals who admiringly fall into the ‘0.5%’ bracket but they simply cannot teach or they charge you a fortune.

I think your statistics are probably right on the money. For one thing, blogging success takes time and people are generally not very patient. Many hope to simply get rich quickly and this just will not happen over night. Hey there, I agree on the stats too. Most people shut their blogs within 3 months if they are only geared to earn money without the passion of blogging
But I don’t think a Guidebook applies to everyone. Look at Xiaxue, all she does is just shoot what’s on her mind and she has pow! 20000+ viewers per day!

You said right that mostly blogger doing blogging for making some extra money but not everyone as you say. The evaluation about the success of blogger is quite appropriate. I have noticed one thing that mostly blogger making smart money by telling the peoples that how to make money through their blogs.

Most of the MMO bloggers make money online by referring their readers to join programs, and the MMO bloggers make money. I’m trying to get out from this way, so where you see I have reduced posting article about make money online, I’ll be more focusing on blogging tips.
