Guest blogging has quickly become one of the most popular methods for promoting a business or increasing traffic to an already established blog.

Not only does it direct immediate traffic to your blog after a reader finishes the blog post and clicks your link to find more of your content, the support given to your site by the host site via the link is very important to Google, and eventually, in terms of how Google ranks your site.

So, given the knowledge that it’s beneficial in more than one way, if you have not yet explored guest blogging for your own site, it might be the next best thing you can do! Not sure where to start? Try some of these tips to get started.

1) Ask Your Blogging Friends

When just starting out, the best thing you can do is to guest blog on sites that you are already friends with. This way you’ll already know the content type, tone and style of the blog and can write appropriately to match, with very little effort. You’ll also know what’s already been covered so you can avoid duplicating content.

This will allow you to build up a solid portfolio, which you can then use to show potential sites that you do not already know as proof that you are a well qualified guest blogger. I started out blogging specifically about patio heaters and had to begin with working friends within the heater industry before branching out into other areas like blogging.

2) Find Related Sites via Blog Rolls

The next easiest way to find sites is to read the blog roll lists on the sites that you are currently guest writing for. This gives you a direct connection to the new blog. You can even begin your pitch with something like, “You may have seen me on ___________ (fill in with the name of the blog that links out to his blog).” This potential blogger will feel like he is repaying a favor to the original blogger who linked out to his site, simply by allowing you to write for him. He will also have seen your writing validated by being published on a site, and he will be that much more likely to accept a guest post from you.

3) Take Advantage of Google

Google will become your best friend after you have exhausted blogs you know and the blogs that those blogs know. You can easily type in your content topic, such as “Linux” in connection with “guest blog.” Your search query will look something like this: “Linnux AND guest blog.” By typing this in, Google will provide you with a list of other people who have written a guest blog about Linnux. You can see what sites they wrote for and, knowing that those sites accept guest bloggers, attempt to get your own writing posted on those sites.

4) Search Forums

Sites like myblogguest.com actually have forums where people post “Want Ads” for guest bloggers. They are typically broken down into category, so if you are hoping to write about Technology or about WordPress, you can go to the appropriate category and find blog owners who are actively seeking out guest bloggers to contribute valuable content to their sites.

Remember, no matter who you contact, be extremely professional and attempt to answer all their questions before they have a chance to ask them. By doing this, you will save them time in writing you a lengthy email asking details you could have already provided. Provide them with excellent content and chances are good they will recommend you to other sites as well. As long as you’re writing good content and keeping a very professional demeanor, you shouldn’t have any problem finding excellent quality sites to write for! So go get started and get ready for higher traffic to start coming in!

You had paid a considerably sum for a premium blog theme and spent so much time making it look great and was churning out posts almost on a daily basis. Yet, you are wondering why the amount of visitors to your blog is not increasing or worse even your regular readers are fast turning into irregular readers.

Well, sorry to tell you this but having a great blog layout only does not necessarily guarantee you an increase in your pool of readers very much. True, they may come back a few more times because of the lovely design but more often than not, design alone won’t last. And while having high quantity of posts is good, if they are not exciting enough, your readers will soon feel bored and will not drop by as frequent as they used to. Admit it, you won’t want to visit a boring blog either right? So the next question is how to avoid writing boring posts.

Here are a few tips that I hope will help you.

Be passionate about the topic

This is my number one tip and should be yours too. Write about something that you love and not just because it is the most talked about topic of the century, unless you are passionate about it of course. Your passion in the topic will show in the way you write and your readers can feel your emotions through your writings. They will share your joy in you overcoming a major health huddle or feel sympathetic towards your lost of a much beloved pet or understand the frustration that you are going through when your web hosting is screwing up. So choose your topics well.

Make up your mind about an issue

Yes, try not to sit on the fence about something. While it is informative and fair that you include all sides of the argument but sometimes, by going back and forth without voicing your thoughts can make you seem undecided, as if you can’t make up your mind about it. My suggestion would be to state both ends of the issue and their pros and cons and then include your opinions too, even if they are controversial. There are so many bloggers out there who are taking the majority’s views so why not take the road less traveled? But only if you believe in it yourself. No point in trying to be different if you don’t believe it yourself (refer tip no. 1 above).

And at the same time, do allow others to voice their opinions too in your comments section, even though you may not necessarily agree to them. If it’s just all about your views, then isn’t that boring? Do respect the freedom of speech.

Include your own and others experiences

Get personal. If you have experiences about the topic, be it a kitchen appliance or traveling to a foreign country or signing up with a new web hosting company, it would be most interesting to your readers if you could include your own experiences. That carries a more weight than a general post that may be passed off as text book article.

If you do not have any of your own experiences e.g. starting your own online store you can always interview someone who did and share their experiences with your readers. This way, you show to your readers that you have done your researches and they will appreciate it.

Positions of advertisements and banners

Be smart when it comes to placing advertisements and banners on your blog. Do not put so many that it makes your blog feel overcrowded. The last thing you want to do is to confuse or irritate your readers. Remember the main reason that your readers come to your blog is because they want to read your posts, NOT your advertisements. Having said this, it doesn’t mean that advertisements will kill your readers’ enthusiasm. Rather, it means that having some good quality ones are fair enough but not to the extent of drowning your posts!

So here you are some simple yet effective tips on how to avoid writing boring blog posts. These are also the mistakes that I see many bloggers out there do and they are slowly turning away their readers. I hope that you will find these tips helpful in your journey to create an interesting blog.

Blog marketing is a revolutionary new way of promoting sales of your products and services on the Web. The premise of blog marketing is that if you offer your customers something of value for free, they will come back again and again until they are loyal followers, purchasers, and promoters of your brand.

The draw for customers is that blog marketing provides them with interaction with the company itself; rather than being a cold, one-way process it is a dialogue between two like-minded individuals. A blog continually provides fresh, new content for customers to interact with, as opposed to the standard, unchanging websites common among corporate America. With word-of-mouth greatly surpassing all other means of promotion, every business owner needs to build the kind of relationship that brings loyalty.

There are three keys to blogging as an authority and increasing your sales?

1. To blog as an authority, you must be an authority

People want to buy their products from an expert. They seek advice from experts. And they are only willing to pay for expert help. Are you truly an expert?

Testimonials:

If you want to establish yourself as an authority in your field, your best “proof” is in the testimonials of happy customers.

Ask every customer for a testimonial, ask permission to post their real name (even if just first name and last initial) and location, and if possible post a small photo of them. If your products or services have been used by another professional and/or a well-known individual, all the better! Making the testimonials real, with real people whom other customers can see, will speak volumes to your expertise.

If you’re just starting out, you may need to offer discounts or even freebies in order to gain the level of experience and the number of testimonials you need to establish yourself as an expert.

Value:

Another way to establish your credibility is to continually offer great value to your customers. If they are visiting your blog for financial tips, they are not interested in reading about what you did on the long weekend. Nor do they want a “fluffy” piece about why budgeting is a good thing.

Clients come to you expecting “meat,” and they are not likely to stick around if they’re not being well-fed. It is more important to provide content of excellent quality than it is to post frequently. So if you only have one substantial (meaty) financial tip per week, post once per week and do it well.

Talk like an expert:

Have you ever listened to a public speaker that made you feel uncomfortable? Not just uncomfortable, but embarrassed – for them? Perhaps they apologized profusely for a technical glitch that you hadn’t even noticed. Maybe they stumbled over their words and came across as less-than-confident. Did their sardonic sense of humour begin to come across more as low self-esteem than as funny?

Avoid self-deprecating phrases and tone. Don’t say, “I’m no expert, but…” Do not write in a tentative or hesitant voice. Be forthright, authoritative, encouraging, and honest. If you have had success in your field, at whatever level you are currently at, you are an expert. Be confident in your abilities and wisdom. Trust yourself, or no one else will trust you.

2. Start at the beginning – the title.

With each blog post you write, you have one opportunity to draw people in. Your title will be the determining factor in whether the reader clicks “continue reading” or not. While it may be fun to provide witty titles full of analogy or allegory, such titles just don’t let your readers know what the post is about.

Blog post titles should be one-hundred percent clear in outlining the purpose of the post. For example, if you sell home improvement supplies and write posts that help your readers learn how to DIY (do it yourself), a post entitled “The pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow” will garner significantly less hits than one called “Why Using a Rain Barrel can Save You Hundreds.”

3. Extend your reach.

The broader your reach, the bigger your readership grows. The more readers you have, the more influence you have. Influence translates into authority and sales, without fail!

Use social media:

Do you have a Facebook page? A Twitter account? Are they separate from your personal accounts? And do you use them?

The secret to using social media effectively is to not use them as promotional tools. That’s right – I just told you that not promoting your business will grow your business. Too much self-promotion just turns people off.

Social media tools are there to create avenues for interaction. They are additional methods for you to create brand awareness and loyalty, through the building of relationships. If your social media use is 80% interaction and 20% promotion, you’ve got the formula just about right.

Give stuff away:

Another counter-intuitive thought – giving stuff away is profitable. Product giveaways are not difficult to do, and can often be used as a tax deduction for your business. You don’t have to be excessive, and it doesn’t have to be expensive.

A classic example of this can be seen on Author blogs. When an author comes out with a new book, the Publisher will usually provide him or her with 100-500 free copies of the book. If the author hosts a giveaway each month for 3 months, where 100 copies can be won, that book’s chances of making both Amazon’s and the New York Time’s best-sellers lists increases significantly. Just think of the thousands of people who entered the contest but didn’t win; chances are good that more than half of them will go out and purchase the book on their own.

Blog marketing is an excellent way to build your business in our Internet-driven society. The key thing to keep in mind is this: it’s not about you, it’s about them. If your focus is on the customers and how you can provide them with as much value as possible, you will develop a loyal following that will begin promoting you as an authority in your industry, thus increasing your sales.

After blogging for any extended amount of time, it’s bound to happen. Maybe you’re the exception to the rule, the Energizer Bunny of the blogosphere, if you will. But for the rest of us, there’s a good shot that given enough time, you’ll start to lose your edge. Whether your voice becomes flat, your content becomes a bit stale, or your overall feel just gets a dated look, a blog that isn’t sharp and on point is not a blog that will sustain readers. Likewise, it will probably not even sustain you. Chances are, you’ll get frustrated, burnt out and unsure about what to do next. So, if you’re drifting that way or are possibly already in that spot, here are some ideas you may want to try in order to get that cutting edge back.

Go Sleuthing

You’re going to have to put your detective hat on for this one. When you start getting dull, chances are very high that your content is all starting to sound the same. This point is ridiculously easy to get to. You start running short on time or your blog just becomes a smaller priority in your life and so the tendency to spend any decent amount of time prepping for said blog post is infrequent. And, let’s face it: surface info is only interesting for so long. (For you and readers alike.) So, take a day, a couple days, a week even, if you can manage it, and put some serious time into digging down deep into your niche. Find what’s going on underground. Find something you can bring to light that not every other blog on the subject has already uncovered. Discover a potential in-the-future-idea that’s bubbling around. Or maybe even come up with your own crazy futuristic idea of what might happen or could happen. Be inventive. Have some fun with it!

Develop an Alias

When you’re dull, one of my most favorite ways to escape the doldrums is to become a whole new person altogether. If you’re afraid to take on a whole new voice and personality and attribute it to yourself, then develop an alias. Go all out with this. Pick a name and then work up a background. Yeah, I know, you’ll feel foolish, but whatever: it works and you need some help. (Well not now, of course, this is all potential). Pick your occupation, your hobbies, what your favorite wine is and what makes you smile. What ticks you off and what gets you fired up. The better the picture you have of this person, not only will the amount of fun you have increase ten-fold, you’ll write a much stronger piece. Try and go as far away from your normal as possible. If you’re always sassy and sarcastic, try your hand at something more braniac style. If you always write straightforward, well-researched, linear pieces then by all means, throw some creativity in there! Be punchy, be witty. You’ll still be able to stay on topic, but you’ll give your blog a breath of fresh air that will probably not only relieve you but your readers too. Who knows, you might want to give your alias a chance at a weekly post.

Team Up

When you all on your own just aren’t cutting it, consider teaming up with some bloggers who are really on their game. This could mean co-writing a few posts till you get your pizzazz back, maybe taking a blogging class, or maybe even taking a class on whatever it is you blog about (marketing, cooking, etc.). Sometimes it just takes a few more great minds in close proximity to yours to get you re-excited about the topic at hand. And, when you’re excited, your voice naturally comes alive, your energy level that you devote towards your blog expands and you find yourself getting creative more easily. You might go all out and re-style, you might just start producing pieces just dripping in inspiration, and you may even discover a new side to your voice you hadn’t discovered before.

Take a Step Back

When all else fails, allow yourself to take a step back. Take a few posts off. Schedule in some fantastic guest bloggers to fill the spaces. And let yourself take a breather. Don’t make yourself read one more news article, one more cookbook, one more blog on the same topic until you actually start to crave it. At some point, when you very first started this whole blog idea, you thought you’d have enough ideas and inspiration to last you forever and then some, right? Right. So, it’s doubtful that your passion for the topic is entirely dead and once you aren’t around it, you’ll probably miss it. And by the time you come back to it, the wealth of information that will have accumulated in your absence will probably be more than enough to trigger countless new ideas. You may even have to post some response/rebuttal pieces to your guest bloggers, you never know.

How to Stay Sharp when You’re Getting Dull from Myblog2day

Standing out on the web seems like an impossible feat these days, with new blogs springing up by the minute and everyone and their mother touting new ways to make money online. While there are plenty of steps you can take to stand out and improve your online reputation, there is one area of consideration that is continually overlooked: how you appear offline.

Offline indicators are referenced more often than we think and taking the time to improve them can give you an easy leg up on the competition, especially when they haven’t even stopped to consider what their offline profile even looks like. Although the following areas can cost a little bit of money to get established, they go along away in terms of improving your brand and will definitely provide a healthy return on investment in the long run.

Register your business

You can operate a blog and accept payments via PayPal in your own name, but forming an LLC or corporation gives you the opportunity to operate under a formal corporate identity. This formal registration will come in handy in numerous different situations, from shielding your personal identity to getting listed in directories to making customers more comfortable doing business with you. Most people feel more comfortable sending money to or contracting with an actual business, so you should definitely take the leap and register your company today.

Registering a Limited Liability Company (LLC) is probably the route best suited for online businesses and blogs, and registering one is as simple as filing a few pieces of paper with your state. LegalZoom is a good place to get this taken care of.

List a mailing address

A physical location where you can be found is best, but most online businesses don’t have a formal office and thus can’t list their address. This is fine. A P.O. Box from your local post office will do the trick, and it costs less than $100 per year (in most areas).

With a P.O. Box, you gain a mailing address in your locality that you can list as your business address and utilize to accept business related correspondence. It goes great on your “Contact Us” page and can be set up in the name of your business (if you’ve gone through the previous step already). Obviously more dubious operations can obtain a P.O. Box as well, so having one isn’t your ticket to legitimacy, but having a mailing address in combination with the other items listed here will work wonders.

Publish a phone number

Not many thieves of conmen make it easy to reach them on the phone, which is why publishing a phone number associated with your business is a great way to improve your legitimacy. Thanks to Google Voice, establishing a dedicated phone number is amazingly easy to do, and free.

You can keep this step free by simply recording your own formal voicemail greeting and asking callers to leave the message. To step things up to the next level, you may consider forwarding calls to your cell phone and answering in the name of your business, or hiring a small business answering service to answer calls on your behalf.

For a monthly fee, an answering service will answer in the name of your firm and follow specific instructions that you lay out for them, including scripting for specific types of calls and methods for delivering your messages. This step is probably overkill for most small businesses, but it does add a level of professionalism that isn’t easily found on the web. If people can travel to your website, find a phone number, and then actually dial that number to reach a live person, it says a lot about your operation.

Conclusion

These are just a few things you can do offline that will ultimately help you stand out on the web. Each will allow you to expand the information available on your business, help people research and contact you, and clearly distinguish you from other websites that aren’t as formally established.

Do you have your own tips for improving your legitimacy and standing out from the competition? Please share them and help add to this list!

5 Blogging Rules of Successful Blogs

In all honesty, blogging isn’t for everyone. Not everyone can be a successful business owner, and owning a successful blog follows several of the same pretenses.

However, if you think you have what it takes to start and maintain a profitable blog, be sure to abide by the top 5 blogging rules to create a strong foundation for success.

1. Find a Niche
If you are writing about a wide variety of subjects, you are bound to spread yourself a little too thin. Don’t focus on topics that you wouldn’t consider yourself an authority about. Write about one topic you are passionate about whether that be elementary education, personal finance for single moms, or Anywho.com uses. Readers will appreciate your topic streamlining, and will turn to you as their authority.

2. Be Creative
If your blog looks like everyone else’s and reads like everyone else’s, then you can guarantee you will not have successful blog. People want something new and interesting so be creative. Take a different stance. Find a different topic. Include fresh videos, pictures, and sound bytes. Don’t be afraid to try something new and creative. In fact, it will be one of the only things to get you ahead of the competition.

3. Write Like You Speak
Blogs are not academic papers, and therefore should not sound like one. Blog posts are short, personal, and tend to be riddled with opinion. Instead of using a thesaurus as you write and frequently checking your MLA handbook for correct punctuation, simply write how you speak. Your readers will be able to follow you more easily, and you will be able to hammer out blog posts more quickly.

4. Only Your Perspective Counts
Don’t let yourself be swayed when writing. Your personal opinion is why people come to your blog, and if they notice that you are beginning to be heavily influenced by others comments or styles, they will begin to lose respect for you. And when your readers lose respect, they stop reading your blog.

5. Focus On Your Audience
Focusing on your audience doesn’t mean that you need to sway your opinion to their liking; it simply means that you need to keep a target audience in mind. If you are wanting to write to jaded 20-somethings, then don’t use language and focus on topics that pertain to retirees.

Wrap Up

Having a successful blog isn’t easy, and requires dedication and energy. Success may not come overnight, but by adhering to the essential blog rules, you may just have a profitable blog quicker than you originally thought.

Blogging is a full-time job. While you don’t have to be prepared to sit down from 9 to 5 everyday to have a successful blog, you do need to be constantly looking for new ideas and keeping on top of the latest trends and news. It’s the constant research, not the writing, the makes blogging a full-time job.

But who has time to sit down in front of the computer for hours or want to tote around a laptop all over town? No one. No one has the time or patience for doing these things. There are places to go, appointments to keep, and people to see. That’s why owning a smart phone, like a 4G Android Phone, is a must for every blogger.

As a blogger you need to be able to blog and create ideas on the go, and with a smart phone, you have a few great apps that can help you maintain a great blog at all times.

Evernote

Evernote is one of the oldest and most trusted apps. It is a great resource for any professional, but is also wonderful for bloggers in search of inspiration. Through Evernote, you can keep a list of blog post ideas as they come to you, save links to articles that you have gained inspiration from, and even catalog photos for future use. Then when you are ready to write, you’ve got a plethora of inspiration right at your fingertips.

Blogger or WordPress

Need to write a blog post, but no where near a computer? No worries. If you run your blog through Blogger or WordPress, you can download the mobile app and create a blog post no matter where you are. Trying to type a blog post with your phone can be a little annoying though so consider purchasing a fold up keyboard for your phone to make the process a little easier.

Reddit

Want to know what the latest meme is or are looking for the latest trends? Consider downloading the Reddit app. Through Reddit you can find out what is hot, and then relate it into your future posts. Not only will it give you great content, but it will also enhance the likelihood of your post being read.

Wrap Up

Blogging is hard work, but it can also be a lot of fun. To make blogging on a daily basis easier, try to keep all the resources to make your life easier around you at all times. Smart phones aren’t just for making calls and checking Facebook. They can organize your life and make blogging easier too.

The last plugin that we’ll discuss is the TextImage plugin. This plugin replaces the text with a .PNG image. It is useful to those that want to prevent some of the search engines from actually being able to view the text that is on a page. It is often used as a filter workaround of website that various countries use in an attempt to censor various sites on the Internet.

Maybe you’ve heard about this whole guest blogging thing that people are doing or maybe you’ve been doing it for years. Regardless of who you are, a few of these tips may help you get started or be great reminders of some of the basic essentials that help you get articles posted versus denied and why you do it.

Why You Guest Blog

I think it makes sense to start with why people guest blog. Guest blogging is a fantastic way to promote your blog and get back links to your website/blog. A back link is an active “dofollow” hyperlink typically in the “Author Bio” section at the end of an article. Search Engines see these links to your website and it can help boost your search engine rankings slowly but surely. If you really serve a specialized niche, you can guest blog to become a known source of authority and expertise on a certain topic. This is why if you find a blog directly related to what you do or sell it helps to become a regular contributor.

Break Up Your Article

Blog articles are easy to scan. It helps to break up your articles into multiple paragraphs with there own titles so that a reader could easily breeze through and understand the basics of what you’re trying to talk about. From there, they can read what is important to them. It is more pleasing to the eye and as a reader.

Edit / Spell Check / Read Your Article

Just like everyone else in the world, blogger are busy people and more often than not do many things other than blog. So, if you want them to publish your article instead of someone else’s you should take a few minutes after you’ve written your blog post to make sure it reads well and is free of grammatical errors.

Have The Blogmaster in Mind

Before you write the article you have in mind, take into consideration what the owner of the blog would love to see. Take a little bit of time to scan their website and see what type of articles are on the site or recently posted. Then you’ll be sure to write an article that will provide the most benefit to their blog and not be a repeat of something they just posted.

Read The Guidelines

Most blogs have a “write for us” page or something along those lines where they talk about the standard guidelines for posting on their page. Some of the common topics are about length, links and content. Be sure to follow these guidelines if you want your post to get accepted.

Double Check Your Links

One of the main reasons you’re blogging is for the links back to your website so make sure they are correct! It would be frustrating to put in the effort and not get what you’re looking for in return. And often times if you notice the mistake you can ask the blogmaster to make a change, but as I said before, their time is precious just like yours.

When you own a blog, there’s always a chance to monetize and take full advantage of it, provided that you know what to do and when is the best time to do so. Top bloggers worldwide have told the curious folks and budding bloggers out there about the fact that they’ve waited at least 2 months to a year to monetize their own blogs. There have always been clashes in opinions when it comes to the right time of monetizing one’s blog. Some people will tell you to wait around for awhile until you get a certain number of subscribers while others might advise you to wait until you receive a certain amount of stable traffic before you monetize your blog.

Nevertheless, making a lot of money through your blog is still achievable but make sure that you do it at the right time. Successful and top-earning bloggers regularly face challenges with trials and errors along the way. Getting a good amount of traffic to your site is the key in monetizing your blog. Without any audiences, you won’t be able to make money. Follow these simple and basic tips before monetizing your blog:

Create an email list at the start of your blogging

This is one of the most sure-fire ways in utilizing your blog and monetizing it. Since most bloggers don’t realize how important it is in managing and building a list of emails, you should know by now that the money can be found in the list. If you keep on updating your readers/ audiences regularly with unique and fun information or whatever it is that you need to announce, you’ll start to have a solid fan base and a good amount of followers who’ll listen to every word you say and this is the best time to entice them by monetizing your blog. Make sure that your blog caters to their personal needs and whims.

Have at least 100 visitors/ audiences on a daily basis

There’s no doubt that you’ll need a good amount of traffic in order to earn and make more money through your blog. For instance, if you only have a handful of visitors or less than a hundred audiences to your blog per day, it’ll be extremely challenging for you to make money through your blog with Google Adsense. If you are on WordPress, you can use the WordPress Stats plugin keep track of your blog’s traffic or you can also use those that is provided in your hosting control panel. Once you’ve managed to get lots of traffic, you should start monetizing your blog instantly.

Wait at least 2-6 months or a year

Depending on how well you’re able to get and increase your blog’s traffic, you should wait around for awhile before you start monetizing your blog. If you have an amazing amount of traffic to your blog, then wait at least 2-6 months before you start monetizing your blog but if you’re having a hard time in getting a sufficient amount of traffic to your blog, then it is better if you wait around for at least a year. Also, be patient and write good and original content on your blog consistently.

Have at least 30 -50 blog posts

The moment you start writing your blog posts, they’ll show up on Google, which equals to your generating exposure and organic traffic. You’ll generate more traffic the more your blog posts are indexed.

In a nutshell, when you are very serious and keen on monetizing your blog to make greater money, make sure that you have unique, interesting, and informative blog posts or content on your blog that no other blog is offering to make it easier for you in getting more traffic. For the case of increasing your traffic, do your own research and compare your blogs with your competitors in the industry that you’re targeting in (e.g. finance, web hosting, art and design, etc). Find out what makes them tick and figure out how you can improve your own blog and beat out your competitors so that your targeted audiences would flock to your blog instead of theirs.

Before you monetize your own blog, you’ll need an adequate amount of traffic to your blog first. Remember, more traffic to your blog equals to a bigger chance of successfully monetizing your blog. Once you’re sure that you already have a solid fan base or readers, you can then start monetizing your blog. Advertisers are generally into popular, well-known and well-read blogs with big audiences!
