Hi Lee,
I have look little deeper on LinkTrackr and If you have affiliate link on your blog or site; buy it, its very good and cheap.
I also cloak my affiliate links because it looks more professional and many people are afraid of clicking on strange ugly looking links.I normally cloak my links with a simple redirect but perhaps a cloaking software would be the best way to go.

Yes if you have an existing free plugin, there is not much reason to switch. Just be sure you are using a trustworthy plugin as it would be easy for them to randomly replace your affiliate link with their own.
I too normally just setup cloaking on my own site for free. I don’t like having a middleman between my affiliate links. Also I could imagine it being quite time consuming to setup external tracking software if you have a high number of affiliate links.
It’s good to know there is an intuitive tool out there to help cloak affiliate links. However my experience has shown no matter how good that tool is a persistent hijacker can always beat the program. Only the affiliate web site can really create a way to hide affiliate link and make sure the initial referrer gets the commission.

Doing things manually is bit tedious job but it is secure, I dont believe pretty links authors is going to steal any of the affiliate links.

By the way, the title of this post is misleading. Hijacking more refers to stealing something from others, whereas this is more of a technique just to boost CTR and sales.
Cloaking link professionally to hijack CTR and sales; is a perfect title for this nice article.
Great share Lee! I’m still new in cloaking links. I will consider to try what you’ve mentioned there :-D
