By selling your products online, internet marketing would be more suitable to be used compare with gorilla marketing. Gorilla marketing is more suitable to be applied on offline marketing, but it can be online as well. Most of the online marketer failed in selling their product online, gorilla marketing techniques can’t be used if they don’t have some basic weapons. Everyone can try to make money online by selling products, but not everyone successful, it takes time and effort. Needless to say, there is no short cut to make money online. As we know, established bloggers like Darren Rowse, Daniel Scocco, Maki, Courtney Tuttle etc, they built up their blogs for years and they get what they paid in the past.
Before a online marketer can really apply gorilla marketing on their sales, they’re required to have some basic weapons first, such as name of company, identity, website/blog/forum, theme, logo, business card, and other relevant weapons. By having the above weapons, you can now use gorilla marketing technique to “assault” with frantic style to your targeted customer. However, it’s not an offline marketing but online marketing, so you can reach their doorstep to promote your products. Recently I’ve watched a drama, a marketer is going to sell his product to several customers, he first does research about his customers’ details. I found that email marketing is very effectiveness in selling products, you pay monthly for your email autoresponder, you make more money online in return.
If email marketing is not working or not strong enough to pursuit your customers to buy your products, ask them whether you can telemarket them to discuss more about your products, perhaps you could give them a special discount and free gift too, you know customers always like discount and free gift. Don’t care about low profit, as long as you sold your products and you make money. Remember, customer is always right, don’t be shy to scratch your face while promoting and marketing your products. Actually there is only one type – Guerrilla Marketing for this article purpose. Btw, Gorilla is definitely not the same as guerrilla + the WikiAnswer says about guerrilla marketing but right after that you quote it as Gorilla marketing (n_n)
Its main focus actually is to focus on the part which we are good at and effectively use our minimal resources.
It is definitely for small business and beginners in business.
I think the ‘gorilla marketing’ is just a blind mistake.
If you want to know more about it, try to search for jay conrad levinson or try to look for his book in the bookstore…He is the one who coins this concept. I had read his book and it is really interesting. Believe me!
Recommendations – You should try to look for book/audio book Purple Cow by Seth Godin and book about 80/20 rule. Those books support this Guerrilla marketing idea.
