Domains

I was actually running a food blog in my sub-domain for quite a few months before, I found that the food blog which was in my sub-domain do rank quite well in the specify niche. I have been asked by many people who would like to know whether it’s good to create a few sub-domains and go for few different niche. I have to say YES, you can go for it. I have a make money online niche blog in my main domain, I do have another Malaysia food niche blog in my sub-domain, they both rank quite well individually in the search engine for certain keywords.

Is It Good To Create Sub-Domain With Different Niche?

Many of them said that create too much sub-domains in different niche might make Google confuse to park your domain in which niche in the search engine. With that said, you will fail to achieve your target in getting higher rank in search engine to enjoy huge organic traffic, indirectly you will loss the chance to make more money.

I have told you that I had a food blog in my sub-domain for quite a few months before, I was doing an experiment to test whether I can rank well in specify niche with my sub-domain. The answer is YES!

Malaysia Food Blog
www.food.myblog2day.com is my current sub-domain which is a food blog and currently stand steadily in the position #7 in the keyword of “Malaysia Food Blog” in Google Search Engine.

Malaysia Food Blog
www.myblog2day.com is my main domain which is a make money online blog and currently stand in the position #15 in the keyword of “Malaysia Food Blog” in Google Search Engine.

I have got the advantage of getting other unrelated niche in my main domain even though the niche is not about food. I’m ranked in the #15 because of I have a food blog in my sub-domain and I had written an article about my food blog in the main domain. With that said, when people look for “Malaysia Food Blog“, my main blog will be getting some organic traffics from there as well.

However, my main blog is not only rank well in other niche, its’ ranking in the “Make Money Blogging” niche is also quite attractable. You won’t be get out of the rank, as long as you have relevant blog link to your blog, and get enough strong backlinks. If you’re doing well with your sub-domain, you will be getting higher rank in search engine, getting tonnes of organic traffics, and even make more money.

Other than this, if you have limited budget in buying a new domain for a different niche, you can actually create a sub-domain for the niche. It’s totally a FREE advantage that offered by your hosting company, you can spend minimum money and make maximum money online. It’s a great idea for those who has limited modal.

as i’m quite new in blogging, so not really sure how to measure it.

I have about 30 – 70 visitor (Get from Google analytics) per day as I start my new blog since end of Dec 2008. But not much in my (Ad revenue).

Is this consider ok for about 2 months old blog?

That’s a good result with 30-70visitor per day for a 2months old blog! You have to keep on building your blog and improve backlinks, once your blog has better search engine ranking for certain keyword, then you can get more clicks. Keep it up bro! :)
