How to Create Masterpieces Using PLR Articles

This is a guest post by Bong Jeen Hao. If you want to guest post on this blog, check out the guidelines here.

PLR Articles (Private Label Articles) are articles that you can edit as you like, and brand the newly edited work as your own. You can use PLR articles for your blog posts, autoresponder messages, or bundle few of them and create an e-course, or even an e-book. It’s the best way of freelancing, and it costs less compare with hiring a freelance to write for you.

However, many PLR articles (or other private label content) are poorly organized. At most cases, they are poorly paragraphed. If you post those articles directly, they will look very bad and not professional. You ought to do something to those articles before publicizing them.

1. Choose right articles

If the article has too much grammatical mistakes (some will have a little grammatical errors, it’s still acceptable) and spelling errors, do not use it. It doesn’t mean you totally cannot use them; just it will take you more time to edit the work. We cannot neglect that some of the ideas are really useful. You can actually take the ideas of the PLR articles and rewrite them by yourself.

2. Paraphrase

Paraphrase means we rephrase the passages with your own words, by changing the words of the original passages. You should always edit the passages before using them. People might have used your PLR article already. So you have to edit them so that they look different from other. On the other hand, I believe you know that search engines dislike duplicated content. If you post the PLR articles directly on your blogs, Google may treat them as duplicated content or spam content, as many people might have used them already.

3. Paragraph

As I’ve said, some PLR articles are poorly paragraphed. Articles without proper paragraphing are not impressive. People will feel that those are poor quality work. First impression is very important. Hence, you’re encouraged to paragraph every PLR article before using them. Generally, one idea or one point will be in a paragraph, so that it makes readers feel easier to get what messages you are trying to deliver through the articles.

4. Throw in your own expert ideas

PLR articles will not be perfect. For sure, if you’re in that niche, you are very good in the niche. You should add your own expert ideas into the articles before using them. This step makes everything different. After paraphrasing and paragraphing, the PLR articles have actually become unique because they seem like being written by your own because you’re using your own words to express the points.

Adding your own professional ideas into the articles will enable you to create your masterpieces. The articles or post will no longer look like being origin from those poorly organized PLR articles. In order to create masterpieces from the PLR articles that you have in your computer, you are encouraged to follow the 4 steps above, no matter what you are creating – blog posts, autoresponder messages, e-courses, e-books, or other content that you’re going to out in membership sites and so on.

I recently started experimenting with PLR articles and I like using them because they can save time writing a complete article or ebook myself. I still haven’t written a masterpiece, but with your tips I’m sure they will improve.

You’re right. Using PLR articles can really save you a lot of time than creating an original one, just make sure to edit the work, add some of your words, and make sure that it’s easy to read and not look like a spun article that’s hard to read.

I’m sure you will improve once you’ve mastered creating a masterpiece using PLR articles. I’ve got some of my ebooks which I sell for $10-$27 that came from a PLR content.

PLR content can be good if done right. It saves our time to brainstorm for ideas. For those who are still new in writing, PLR content is the best solution for them. It’s cheaper, compare to outsourcing.

PLR articles are a great starting point for all who would like to write articles but don’t have any experience in article writing. By reading and paraphrasing existing articles it is easier to get a feel for articles and how they should be written.

Yes, you’re right. For those who are new and don’t know how to start writing, PLR articles are the best things for them.

Even if they aren’t good in editing or in languages, they can save A LOT of money in hiring freelancers to edit articles instead of hiring them to write whole articles :-)

Hi,

Your points are exactly what I also think regarding PLR.

You should edit and just make changes to the PLR content according to your own need and view.

I have also heard this advice:

Get 4-5 PLR articles, and use a bit from each of them to make an entirely new article. What do you say about this?

Kindest,
Nabeel

It’s possible, but it’ll be hard for us to find 4 to 5 PLR articles with similar topic and combine their ideas into a single article.

Actually, we can combine around 7 to 10 PLR articles into an ebook or deliver as an ecourse. But of course, the same rule still apply – Edit and paraphrase.

Ahan! That’s an even more awesome idea!

Thanks for the tip!

Hi Lee,

PLR articles are of great help and I agree with every point that you have mentioned in this regard. However I haven’t given it such a dedicated thought before… but now I think it is worth giving time.

Thanks for this informative post.

Thanks for this, i really enjoy writing articles myself and its the main reason i got into blogging rather than websites but sometimes you don’t have the time or you want to do a big project. You can get articles straight off ezine but it looks unprofessional and like you can do it yourself.

It’ll be the best if you have the ability and time to write it by your own.

PLR articles is just the solution when we’ve no ideas, or for those who are new in writing articles :-D

This is a truth: PLR Articles aren’t good.

However, the ideas in PLR articles can be good. They give you the ideas on what to write. Hence, I stress that we’ve to edit and paraphrase them before using :-)

Aren’t PLR articles too expensive for new bloggers? I means is it worth paying for an article if you have small traffic?

There are so many free plr material over the internet just google them by adding your keyword + plr articles or your keyword + free plr articles.
Your hard drive would definitely start complaining due to over load but do not just add them up, make use of them quicly and discard them, that is the beauty of plr!

PLR content aren’t expensive at all. In fact, you can actually find a lot of free ones. Compare with outsourcing, PLR content costs much cheaper.

*However, we aren’t encouraged to use free ones, as many people have already used the ideas. It can no longer be unique.

Duplicated content can happen because of these 2 reasons:
1. Post without editing.
2. Free PLR content.

The reason why free PLR content is dangerous is because many people can just grab them, and post wherever they want. Many people might have got them before us. So the content is not unique anymore.

PLR Articles definately are the way to go as it is the fastest way to add content. You just must make sure you proof read them and change them to put your own personality into them. This also makes your content unique.

You’re right. Proof reading is very important :-)

Giving your own expert ideas in the article makes the article more attractive and unique.

Surely I have never thought of utilizing PLR this way. I mean, what I had been doing all this while is writing my own articles from scratch or hiring a ghost writer to do so..

certainly i believe this way of transforming a PLR to be fully in favor of our advantage is truly remarkable.
thank you for your share.
cheers

It’s worth trying :-) But of course, writing by our own is the best, because it’s guaranteed unique (Unless the person is not honest >.<)

If you're outsourcing for content, you can try to grab some free or cheap PLR articles, and hire freelancers to edit those articles, instead of asking them to write the whole articles. By doing this, you can actually save a lot of money :-)

If you’re quick in editing and paraphrasing, you can edit those PLR articles and submit them to other article directories as well.

I personally submit edited and paraphrased PRL articles to article directories such as goarticles (except ezinearticles, I write myself).

If you’re getting free or cheap PLR articles, you have to edit and paraphrase A LOT before posting them, especially while submitting to your own blog (Google won’t ban article directories if you submit duplicated content to them :-? ).

My personal advice would be, try not to use free PLR articles, as many people can just grab and post elsewhere, and many people have grabbed before you. If you’ve free PLR articles, edit and paraphrase them (at least 30% of the article) before submitting.
