How To Get Blog Post Inspiration In Your Niche?

January 14, 2010 · 36 comments

Writing can be overwhelming if you’re out of ideas and your brain stops functioning, that would be the biggest challenge for blogger who doesn’t have enough experience or knowledge in the field. If you’re a dentist and I ask you to write an article about “Make Money Online?”, how can you do that if you have no experience or knowledge in this field? You can definitely write about it if you’re willing to put effort in doing research, however, at least you need to get a blog post title of what you’re going to write before you can move further.

If you know the topic that you’re going to write, says make money online, then you can simply get the title for it, says “15 Ways How To Make Money On The Internet“. Of course, the title idea doesn’t come to your head automatically, you need to find for it, with a tool.

How To Get Blog Post Inspiration In Your Niche?

I’m sure you heard about WordTracker, right? It’s a keyword research tool that helps you to find out the best keyword that you can easily dominate Google’s first page. They have another keyword tool called Keyword Question, it provides you the questions that people usually type or ask in search engine. With that said, you get the title ideas and you’re answering the questions that people ask, you target longtail keyword therefore you would get more search engine traffic.

It’s a very simple tool, even a beginner knows how to use it, but instead of explaining it in theory, I rather write and show you step by step with screenshot, this would help and easier for everyone. As an example, I’ll show you how I get the title ideas with the keyword “Make Money Online“.

1) Just fill in the keyword or topic that you want to write about, and click “Search”.

Keyword Questions

Keyword Questions

2) The result shows you a list of title which has been searched by people in search engine. It shows how many times the question has been asked as well. From the list, you can choose any title and write about it. The times asked might or might not be accurate, so don’t too rely on that, just choose the title that you can write about.

Wrap Up

That’s pretty simple right? The Keyword Questions is very useful to get blog post inspiration when your brain is dead. When you’re out of ideas, simply use this tool and you’ll get tons of inspiration. I didn’t use this tool too often because I’m not out of blog post ideas yet, I still have some ideas for the next blog post in my mind, I just need some times to write them out. I hope you like this tool.

Do you find this tool useful? What method that you use to get blog post ideas?

Anyway, I hope you find this tool useful.

Lee, very interesting way to find a commonly searched phrase – most of them being good titles as well. I also feel that sometimes you can get killer titles from Google search autofill feature as well.

Great tool listed here..I’m trying it out right now! I agree finding topics in your niche can be hard, and it is even more difficult forcing yourself to stay within your niche at times. It’s all a matter of what outside factors are affecting your life, and what other interests may be preoccupying you at the time.

@Crystal,
Keep writing the same niche would be overwhelming and your reader might get bored, open your mind and relax yourself, writing something out of your niche, you would see some unexpected result from your blog.

Crystal, you have a nice looking blog, I can see that you’re a good web designer. ;)

Simply search the keyword that you want and you’ll get tons of writing ideas. If your blog is talking about blogging tips, search “blogging tips”; if you want to write about search engine optimization, then search it. Did I answer your question? :)

@All Tips for Bloggers,
With this tool, you need to optimize for long tail keyword. In short word, you can’t be ranking well if you got no backlinks for the keyword. Also, you can write something unique and outstanding instead of writing the same thing as others. If you want to rank well, get backlinks for the longtail keyword.

Hi Lee Ka Hoong, I just want to share something here mate :)
Hmm, I usually use the google adwords keywords tools, here’s the link https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
sometimes I also make a keywords research from wordtracker and then compare it with google keywords tools. I don’t know about you guys but I prefer use the google keywords tools for good niche.

Google adwords keywords tool was the tool that I used most of the time in the past, but I didn’t use it anymore after I purchased Micro Niche Finder, it’s more advance than the free Google Adwords Keywords Tool. But no doubt, it’s still a very useful tool.

Micro Niche Finder? Do you buy it? wow I never knew about those things that you mentioned. Is it expensive, how much? I mean, is the price worth it? Well, it’s must something special if you buy it just for niche idea :) And of course if it’s more advanced than the free Google Adwords Keyword tool, I’ll keep in mind to buy it. Thanks for the info mate

@Marikxon Manurung,
Yes I purchased Micro Niche Finder few months ago, and it’s really a worth buying software if you’re really in micro niche site builder field. That cost me $97, but definitely worth it. It can be used by 2 users, so you could share it with your friends or anyone else. That’s a great tool, so nothing much I can say until you experience it yourself. ;)

I guess one of the reasons many people fail online is not having any inspiration and get a little distracted along the road. As long as bloggers remember that bloggers aren’t “workers” in the traditional world and they may blog whenever they’d feel (whenever they find the inspiration).
