How To PrintScreen, Edit and Save An Image

Paint

This morning, one of my blog reader aka net buddy asked me about how to snap the screen and save it as a picture. I always did it because I did insert a picture into every of my single article in my make money online blog, I’ll insert one picture which related to the topic, because “Picture tells thousand word“. By inserting a related picture into a post and rename it properly, it can actually increases your search engine traffics or organic traffics.

How To PrintScreen, Edit and Save It As A Picture?

So I was promising Kevin to write him a simple tutorial about how to snap the screen, edit the picture and save it. Here is the simple tutorial :

1) Print Screen
There is a “PrintScreen” button on your keyboard at right top side. Let’s say you want to snap your Google Adsense earning, go to the page and press on the “PrintScreen” bottom on the keyboard. You’ve snap the screenshot.

2) Paste It On “Paint”
Open an image editor named “Paint”, I believe that every computer or laptop have this tool. Now you simply press “Ctrl + V” or “right click mouse + paste”. The screenshot has been pasted on “Paint”.

3) Edit It
Okay, let’s say you just want a small portion of the screenshot and not the full screen. You can do it in many ways.
First, press “Ctrl + A”.
Print Screen 1

Then point your mouse arrow on the screenshot, left click mouse and drag it to top to “delete” the top side.
Print Screen 2

If you don’t want the footer bar, you can “delete” it as well. Left click mouse on any icon on the left sidebar to cancel the “Select All Screen”. There is a blue dot on the right hand side bottom corner, left click on the dot and drag it to the top to “delete” the footer bar. You can either drag the blue dot on bottom middle, or right hand side middle.
Print Screen 3

You can also change the size of the screenshot. Simply click on the “Image” at the top bar and choose “Stretch/Skew” or press “Ctrl + W” to change the size.

4) Save It
Just press “File” at the top bar and choose “Save As”, then click the drop down bar “save as type”, I will choose JPEG file as my image file. Click “Save”.
Print Screen 4

5) Done!

It’s a very simple tutorial that teaching you how to print screen and save it as an image in “Paint”. I believe that many people know how to do it but maybe some of them don’t. For simple image edit, “Paint” can satisfy you; for advance image edit like adding shadow, I would recommend you to use “Photoshop“, it’s more useful and has many features but you have to read many tutorials on the net and learn how to do it. I’m still in the learning process with Photoshop, it’s an awesome image editor software.

If anyone doesn’t really understand the tutorial, simply contact me via email or add my MSN and we can chat online.
