Make money online is fun and fantastic because you can earn pocket money online without having a day job in reality, of course it has the risk if one day your blog get hacked or your blog and website doesn’t make money anymore, so we always search for new way to make money online. Christopher Lawrence who was a guest blogger on this blog and he wrote about “7 Great Ways To Supplement Adsense“, he mentioned about selling advertising space and I added an extra note about BuySellAds on that point.
I’ve been serving BuySellAds on this blog since last year and I have to say I like it because all the steps are automatic, meaning I don’t have to do anything except placing the banner code on my blog, then BuySellAds will take care of everything. 1) Niche Blog – Certain Niche
First you need to have a niche blog, meaning a blog which has a specific topic. If you write about make money online, then you shouldn’t write about “How To Cook Seafood Spaghetti”, you should try to write about something related to your blog niche. I believe that BuySellAds only accepts certain niche blog, i.e. design blog, technology blog, make money online blog and etc, I tried to apply for my construction blog but they rejected it. So if you have blog from the above niche, then it’s a plus.
2) Traffic – Increasing Page Views
I know this is nothing new and everyone knows traffic is the key, you have huge traffic and you’ll earn money. BuySellAds is not showing the number of unique visitor but the estimate impression of your blog to the advertisers, so what you should do is increasing the page view on your blog. Of course I’m not asking you to keep refreshing your blog, that is not working and not the right way.
Anil Gupta wrote about how to reduce your blog bounce rate or make your blog sticky, it means that when visitors land on your blog, they won’t be leaving by just viewing a page, they will click around to view more blog post. With that said, you will gain more page views and the figure shown in BuySellAds will be huge and looked nice.
3) Place The Banner Code Above The Fold
Placing the banner code above the fold is important, it’s common sense. If you’re advertiser, you want your banner to be placed as high as possible, so when readers land to the blog, then they can view your banner without scrolling the page, it increases the click possibility. So if you want the advertiser to purchase your banner ads, try to place it as high as you can, just like what I do on this blog.
4) Good Looking Blog Theme Design
I’ve seen a few design blog, their blog doesn’t has huge number of impressions but they’re able to sell a lot of banner ads on their blog. It’s because they have really cool design on the blog, I assume advertisers love blog with great theme design, the blog would look more professional with great design. But that’s the fact, if you’re an advertiser, do you want to advertise your product on a blog with poor and lousy blog theme design?

Make money online with buysellads is not complicated, what you should do is keep writing unique and useful content, then drive more traffic to your blog and you will get more sales. I don’t actually bother about my banner spot, I just place the banner code and forget about it, but of course I’ll still remember to cashout the earning. What I earn from BuySellAds is just peanut, not a huge earning but I’m happy with it because money flows in without doing anything.

Hi Lee I really appropriate your work and earning that you are making from buysellads. As I am running blog at blogspot so no any network accept such blog. So I owned the strategy to sell private ads on my blog like the moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com doing. But It is very hard to keep tracking of all transaction when selling private ads and also hard to find the advertisers.

Yes you can only sell your banner ads privately as BuySellAds doens’t accept blogspot blog. Alan from MoneyMakerInfo is working really hard to achieve his stage right now. So you need to work hard too Chandan. Keep it up! :)

Where you place your banner Vins, I can’t see it in your EmailReach site. It’s better to display only 2 boxes 1st as you have no advertiser now and the banner looks blank, not a good sight. You can just display 2 banners, once you sell the 2 banners then you can edit the banner in BuySellAds cpanel and change it to 4 banners. This is what I do in this blog. :)

Cool! I saw you sold an ads on your blog with BuySellAds, with the traffic and statistic you have, I’m sure you can sell more in coming days.
I’m using AdvertiseSpace for now. Sold 2 125×125 banner for $10 each. AS took 30% of the revenue. Not a lot of money but I’d say it’s a good start.
Someday I might try BSA. Perhaps I can set a higher price there considering it’s a larger network with more advertisers?

I believe the pricing is equal to your traffic, see what others are charging in BuySellAds with similar traffic to yours. So it depends on the traffic you have. BSA only takes 25% of the revenue, so you’ll get more earning that AdvertiseSpace, but it’s nothing wrong to serve both of them. ;)

I’m not sure about the requirement, as long as you have a niche blog in the topic of internet marketing, tech or design, then it shouldn’t be any problem to get approved.
I’m going to try this on my more niche sites, one for pet owners and one for baby boomers who RV. They may not be considered nichey enough but if I could just sell one or two of the BSA banners I would be happy with it. It all adds up at the end of the quarter!

I see that your blog has Alexa rank up to 100k, it’s a bit complicated to get an advertiser, but you may try. Also I see that you place a banner ads at the header, try to make the size to 468×60 as it’s a common size and most of the advertisers have this size of banner. It’s just my 2 cents, you may try and see how it works for you Raj. All the best! :)
