Many webmasters and bloggers have lost their PageRank and Google search engine ranking due to selling text links in their blogs. It has been proved that selling text link can be slapped by Google, Google had penalized my blog to a PR0 from PR2 due to serving Text Link Ads to sell text links in my blog.
This case has been clearly stated by many other bloggers and also mattcutts, selling text links can bring your blog to “higher level”, I mean heaven (Dead). If you don’t understand or don’t read webmaster quality guide, you may harm your blog as well. As what Quality Guide stated :
Don’t participate in link schemes designed to increase your site’s ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or “bad neighborhoods” on the web, as your own ranking may be affected adversely by those links.
If you understand and avoid this, you will be safe! If you’re buying or selling text links that pass PageRank to others, you’re in violation of Google Webmaster Quality Guidelines. PageRank is not like playing football, you’re not allowed to pass your pagerank to other blogger, you’re not allowed to help other to make a goal. If you do so, you’re in deep shit.
How To Sell Text Links Without Losing PageRank?
Buying and selling link is a very common business in the blogosphere. They have only one purpose on buying and selling link, to get traffic and reputation, higher ranking as well. Now, you’re able to sell text links without losing your pagerank. The only one step :
1) “NoFollow” Attribute
Adding a “nofollow” attribute to all your text links that has been sold. By adding “nofollow” tag, you’re telling Google spider not to follow this link. This is the only way that Google won’t be penalizing you for selling text link.
I believe that many advertisers do not want to pay so much money to get a “nofollow” link, it doesn’t benefit their site, it doesn’t help to improve their site’s ranking as well. I’ve been asking TLA whether I can add a “nofollow” tag on the text links that has been sold in my make money blog, unfortunately they’re not allow me to do so, so I’m forced to quit TLA because I love PageRank more compare with money from TLA.
I found that there are also a few of Text Link Advertising Company that help to sell “nofollow” text link as well. As I know, Linkworth is doing quite well in selling “nofollow” text link. For me, don’t sell text link is the best way to keep our PageRank safe, because PageRank and search engine ranking is the main key to be successful in make money blogging journey.

Ya we must be aware, although we have solution to sell but I’m still not so confident anymore, by the way, sharing doesn’t mean must earn money for me la
You put nofollow on your header then all links are not contributing anything.
But don’t worry, there’s other ways of making money.

Mike : Yea, after a few days of blogging, I found that making money is not very important for blogger, sharing is the main point, I felt proud when I’ve recognized by Google and gave me a PageRank. Btw, make money can put in the second place. =)
makesomemoneywithme : Yea, other than selling links, there are still many other ways to make money by blogging, such as Adsense, Nuffnang, and etc. Play safe, you’ll stay longer. =)

Ahmike : I don’t think we can earn like John Chow, you can be millionaire if you can earn like him, he approximate earn up to $40k per month (I’m not sure how true is it).
Btw, we help bloggers but we don’t earn their money. =p We just make money from Advertiser.
But it’s good to have both together. haha =)

so far i feel that sell link is the best money for blogging. Don’t said about those google adsense earning. but if without selling text link, what for maintain high PR?
iCalvyn : Ya I feel that sell link is the best money for blogging, I personally think that too. But my PR gone to 0 when I sell link, PR is quite important for me to rank well in search engine ranking for my keyword, I can see that my position in search engine for my keyword is dropping after my PR gone.

Thnx for the tips mate.. no wonder 1 of my site is now PR2 i/o of exisiting PR3. I tot it is because of unregularly updated….
