There are many ways to get your blog to be indexed by search engines. Some blogs may need a few days to be indexed by search engines, some may need few weeks. From my experience with my blog, I did submit my blog URL to Google, Yahoo and MSN to notify them I have a new blog and awaiting them to crawl and index my blog.
After submit my make money blog to Google, Yahoo and MSN, it took about 2weeks to see my blog listed in the search engine. It’s too long right? So, don’t submit your new blog to Google, Yahoo and MSN since they are slow. In order to spend the lesser time and your blog can be listed in search engines, I have a few simple methods to share with you today :
1) Link exchange
- Link exchange with relevant site. Let say you own a blog, you may need to find relevant blog to do link exchange with you. The higher the blog’s Page Rank that you exchange link with, the faster your blog can be indexed by all search engines.
2) Commenting
- Commenting on others’ blog can increase your backlinks, the more backlinks you have, the faster and the better rank you will get in the search engines. Remember, don’t spam others’ blog. Google hate it.
3) Anymore? Nope! That’s It!
I have just launched a new niche blog last month, I use this 2 ways to get my blog indexed by search engines without submit my blog URL to Google, Yahoo and MSN. After 2 days, I check my blog URL in Google search, already listed. Why so fast? Because I do link exchange with about 10 blogs with PR2 and above. Besides of link exchange, I also commenting on others’ blog. This is the only 2 ways that I used to get my blog to be indexed in 2 days.
You can also read my previous blog post about “How blog post can be indexed by Google in 24hours?“. This is my concept, the more page indexed by Google, the higher search engine rank you have, the more traffic you get, the more money you can make!
So, try out this 2 ways and please do not shy to let me know whether your new blog can be indexed in 2 days. If you intend to start a blog, drop a comment on any of my post to ask for link exchange with my blog with PR2. Link building is about helping each other.

After submit my make money blog to Google, Yahoo and MSN, it took about 2 weeks to see my make money blog listed in the search engine.
I think 2 week is reasonable waiting period for new blog or site with new registered domain name.
Another way is to make use of the RSS or FEED of our sites. Submit the RSS of your site at RSS Search Engine. You can see here for Blogspot

Andy : Ya, 2weeks is reasonable, but if you can do link exchange with blog with higher PR, your blog can be listed in Google search engine without submit to their directory. This is what i discovered when I did it to my new blog. =)

tushar : As I said in my previous entry (http://myblog2day.com/2008/08/increase-backlinks/) , commenting on others’ blog can increase your backlinks, backlinks can improve your search engines ranking, high search engines ranking can bring you traffics, traffics can make you money!
If you just start a new blog, comment on others’ blog can expose your blog to others’ too, to let them know that you have a blog too, I believe that they might interest to have a look on your blog too =)

Angel : Ya, Google will get to know your blog even though you don’t submit it to them. Why your PR is just 1 then I’m not very sure lo. Do more link exchange with relevant blog can helps to increase your PR =)
If I’m not mistaken, the ages of your blog, quality of your blog content also affect your PR as well.

Cool idea dude.. but Im not sure what happen to my personal blog. Its 7 month already and I did what you’ve mention above but blog my PR still 0.
Freelance : I did check your site, I found that you rarely update your blog. Other than that, If I’m not mistaken, most of your contents are copied from other’s site. Google hate this action and will not index your site. I think this is the only factor that cause you don’t have any PR and even not indexed by Google.
I recommend you to come up some quality content and update your blog regularly, say 3 posts in a week?

I see that your blog has been indexed by Google, it’s PR0 now. Building more backlinks to gain higher PR and you may see some green PR juice on the next PR update.
