Two weeks ago, the Dot Com Mogul who lives in Dot Com Lifestyle, John Chow was back to the track of Google search engine. He was actually banned by Google 3 years ago due to his naughty action which was selling text link, writing paid post, and the worst action that Google took action to ban his blog was John Chow was trying to fool Google search engine by asking people to link his blog with the keyword “Make Money Online” (which is the keyword I rank well in Top 10 right now), and he would link back to you in return.
John Chow stated that he chose to play the games against Google Webmaster Guidelines, it was because he wanted to proof to Google that he can did even better without the help of Google search engine. John Chow wanted to show everyone that he could do even better without the help of Google search engine.
“Screw you Google! People say I can’t build my blog without you. I’m going to prove them wrong!”
Despite the ban of John Chow, his blog John Chow Dot Com continued to grow in traffic and income. Last year, he made over $40k a month from his blog, Text Link Ads brought him nearly $2k a month. Now, $2k is only 2.5% of his monthly income as what he stated in his recent blog post, not worth it to against Google and just to earn $2k (2.5% of his month income) if you ask me, John Chow can even made more than $2k by using other money making stream if he complied the Google Webmaster Guidelines and back in Google search engine. It was Shoemoney, Neil Patel and Matt Cutts who helped John Chow to get back to the search engine. It shows the power of friends and how friends help you in helping to grow your business. Thus, you can see how John Chow built his brand and grew his business in this few years of his John Chow dot Com.

So you know John Chow was back to Google search engine 2 weeks ago, he screwed Text Link Ads, he complied the Google Webmaster Guidelines, end up Google send him up to 5000 search engine traffic a month. I believe that John Chow can make more than $2000 (Text Link Ads) with his additional 5000 search engine traffic.
John Chow dot Com gains his PR5 right now, and ranks 12th of the hottest keyword “Make Money Online“, although it’s 2 positions behind me but I believe that he is getting better traffic due to his hardcore brand. So can you see how powerful is Google search engine?

Don’t say like this dude, many people didn’t know that John Chow was banned from Google 3 years ago too. But I really admire his work especially he built his brand and make money online without the help of Google search engine. He showed us that we can still actually make money online without Google search engine. Nevertheless, it’s better not to play against Google since we’re not popular yet and don’t have the power to handle this yet.

Yea I’m not talking about John Cow but John Chow. He was really doing good to fight with Google in the past, but everything back to normal now. He is doing better now compare to the past.

Great to see you here Greg! Yes, I enjoy reading his blog now on and see what he is trying to do with his blog now. I believe not only you want to see his income report but everyone else, but he said in his blog post before that he no longer posted his income report. But I think he can makes more money with the huge additional organic traffic to cover the loss of the Text Link Ads which is $2000, it’s not a big deal for him.
John had a very large following before being banned by google.It would be hard for someone without such a huge following to do the same as John,but either way it is good to see that google let him back in.

I’m still wondering how John Chow could have survived without google as he doesn’t comments on other blog that much… He was still using social media such as technorati. Great! Never go for Text Link Ads, I was banned by Google half years ago, but I did take down them and sent Google a letter and asking Google for reconsideration. Luckily I got back my PR, now I know the importance of Pagerank, so not to play against Google anymore.

No wonder he can make profit eventhough he was banned for 3 years because he already did blogging almost 5 to 6 years(correct me if i’m mistake). He is not build his brand within 1 year or 2years. but he got passion in blogging field that’s why he is called as dot com mogul.
I still make money using TLA. So far it was ok but i don’t know what will happen in the future. In my opinion TLA is clever to fool the google bot because, if you realize, TLA provide a plugin for the publisher which is can be rename to whatever name we like. Therefore, every publisher got their own name for the plugin. For me, if the name is not the same, google bot can’t detect.
Google also running sell buy text link program. Google ban a blog that join text link ads because it was ‘jealous’.

I recommend you not to continue the game before Google notice it, I believe that they could detect it even though we change the name. How long you’ve been serving TLA? I got banned by Google after 3 months of using TLA.

Good post. Yeah… it was amazing how well John did being banned for so long. It just goes to show that you don’t have to do that well in the search engines to be successful… but it definitely helps. Lee I really enjoy your blog, but one thing has been getting under my skin every time I read your updates. You have invested so much time and effort into your blog. Why don’t you do that with your grammar as well.
