People keep talking about meta tag to rank high in search engine but after read the truth about it, I should not put any hard work for this. Better consider other factor that google put more weight on it.

I think you are correct as it will help to clear of the spammers of the scene. However it is not completely possible to get rid of them, but upto some extent it can be effective.

Along with it, this is going to be a great set-back for the SEOs worldwide.

The post is really interesting & highly involving. I don’t stuff meta tags with keywords. But I think it does help to attract the attention & improve click through rate as you rightly said.

Yeap, perhaps Keyword meta tag is still important for other search engine like Bing and Yahoo, we can still do that since it doesn’t harm our blog. Keyword in meta tag and keyword in post should be different, I believe that keyword in post would do better than keyword in meta tag, just make sure that we don’t do keyword stuffing.

Though I will say keyword meta tag is important for other search engine..and I have seen this video when it was released... Yea, it makes sense for Google to waive the keyword metatag for their ranking judgement. So if you want to increase your search engine ranking, build quality backlinks and write useful content is the only way. :)

Google doesn’t put any weight on the keyword metatag because there was bunch of people spammed it for higher search engine ranking. So it definitely makes sense for them to waive it. ;)

You have posted something that will make the SEOs around the world a setback. Keyword Metatag is something that every SEO devotes good deal of time while doing an on-page optimization.

If this was a rumor I wouldn’t have believed it, but Matt Cutts said so there is no point in not believing.
