MyBlog2Day Contest has been going for a week and I would like to do an update for the contest. At this moment, there are 13 contestants already. Unfortunately, I think most of them misunderstood the point system and I would like to clarify the point system in this updates again. I believe that most of them only read this instead of the “How To Win” section.
Point System For First, Second, Third and Forth Cash Prize (Category A) + Notes
1) Write a blog post about this contest, you’re required to include all sponsors’ links and a link to this post as well. (5 points for blog with PR1 and below; 8 points for blog with PR2 and above)
2) Follow my Twitter at @myblog2day and Tweet the message. (2 points)

3) Subscribe my Newsletter and get a free copy of “Making Money From Blogging” ebook. (2 points)
Notes : You need to collect 20 points (Overall + Include Guest Post and Social Media Points) and above and you will be able to win prizes from Category A. That means you have to collect points by writing a blog post, follow my twitter and tweet the message, subscribe newsletter and write a guest post for this blog, then you should be getting more than 20 points and you’re qualified for this category.
Point System For Best Guest Post Premium Theme Prizes (Category B) + Notes
1) Guest post (5 points – Maximum 3 guest posts each contestant and must be comply with the guest posting guideline. Social media vote for 2nd guest post is not counted, only social media vote from 1st guest post will be counted, but still you’ll get the 8 points for 2nd guest post.)
2) ReTweet (1 point – 5 ReTweets)
3) Blogengage Votes (1 point – 5 Blogengage Votes)
4) Comments (1 point – 2 Comments ~ You need to reply comment from reader to get 1 point)
Notes : You need to collect 15 points (Guest Post and Social Media Points Only) and above and you will be able to win a Premium Theme from Best Guest Post Prize from Category B. That means if you write a guest post for this blog and your guest post points plus social media points are more than 15 points, then you’ll qualified in this category.
MyBlog2Day Contest Updates
So far I have not received any guest post from any contestants, with that said no contestant is qualified in Category A or B. Contestants need to write at least 1 guest post and will be sum up to more than 15 or 20 points. Perhaps you should read the full contest post and you’ll get the full ideas on how the contest runs.
Worst come to worst, if there is no contestant collects more than 15 or 20 points, then I may extent the contest or change the contest strategy, but it depends on the situation. So you still have 3 weeks to join the contest and collect points, act now and win some cash and premium wordpress themes!

I think you should remove guest posting from one of the two categories (B, for example). It would be easier to enter from someone who doesn’t have time to write a post…What do you think?

Hmm..guest posting is the main element that I would like to press in this contest. For this round, I don’t think I could remove guest posting, perhaps in my next contest, I’ll make it more easier to join. Thanks for your suggestion bro, and congrats that you win $20 from DesignCrowd!

Anyways, regarding the tweeted message, for every tweeted post daily, do we have to post the links to your blog so that you would know how many times did we tweeted your contest? And that would count as 1 point per tweeted message daily? Did I get it right?

For Category A, you will get 2 points for 1 tweet and one contestant can does once only. While for Category B, you will get 1 point for 5 retweets for your guest post. Let me know if you don’t get it fjordz, I would explain again. :)
And I am still confusing (that’s why I still not in this contest).
can I only join category B contest or must I do category A contest to be available for category B contest?

Yes Dana, you can join either Category A or B, as long as you collect enough points to be qualified. You need to collect 20 points in order to be qualified under Category A, and 15 points in order to be qualified under Category B. You can do any steps listed above, and you need to write at least one guest post to collect more than 15 points.

Yea, I’m thinking about that. It’s because almost all contestants don’t understand the point system, I may consider extent it or change the contest point system.
