Today, I would like to announce that MyBlog2Day.com which is a blog that shares about blogging tips, make money online opportunity, traffic building, search engine optimization, and affiliate marketing tips, is officially turned to a Dofollow Blog. This blog had been installed a nofollow wordpress plugin when it first launched 2 years ago to prevent spam comments and secure the blog from linking out to insecure external links.
What Is Dofollow and Nofollow?
Dofollow blog is a blog that follows external link, which means the blog allows search engines to follow the external link. It means that whenever you leave a comment and use your blog URL, then you blog will get some dofollow link juices, it helps your search engine ranking as well as increasing your blog’s PR. If you tend to make money online, higher search engine ranking is what you really want.
In return;
Nofollow blog is a blog that doesn’t follow external link, it means that no matter how many links you left on the blog, you won’t be getting any link juice. With that said, it doesn’t help your search engine ranking, and you don’t get any benefit of the green Pagerank juice.
MyBlog2Day Is Officially DoFollow Now!
Today, I made the decision to turn it to a DoFollow Blog because I have no longer afraid about anything else, I believe that quality content and good interaction between bloggers is the way to improve your blog. Bear in mind that following all the external links will not harm your blog if you modify the comment and manage external link properly.
In my point of view, I just want to get this chance to say thank you to all the commentators who have been leaving valuable comment and contributing wonderful ideas to this blog. So dofollow link love is a reward for all of you who have been following MyBlog2Day.
MyBlog2Day Comment Policy
I appreciate all the good comments and opinions in this blog, I hope you can do me a favor and I’ll reserve the right to remove any comments which I feel is failed to comply the comment policy. I’ll mark it as spam or delete any inappropriate comments in this blog, please read the following guidelines or comment policy :
- Use your real name or pseudonym. Don’t use keywords as your name, such as “Make Money Online”, “Fishing Equipment”, etc. I’ve installed the KeywordLuv wordpress plugin in this blog, so please take advantage of the plugin, kindly use yourrealname@keywords as your name while leaving a comment.
- Leave genuine comment. Comments like “Great Post!” or “I like this post!” or “Nice post, thanks for the post!” or any such invaluable comment will not be appreciated. If you have nothing to say, simply leave the page and read another blog post. A 2-3 liners comment would be acceptable.
- Don’t use fowl language. Show some respect for the blog, blogger and fellow readers while leaving a comment.
- Be on topic. Don’t leave comment and say “The flower is beautiful” on a post that talks about “Building profitable niche blog”.
- No irrelevant external link. Link only to related articles. Don’t put your link as signature in the comment.
The comment policy will be effective from today and I’ll remove comment which I feel is inappropriate to the particular blog post. If you don’t see your comment displayed for about a week, it means that your comment has been marked as spam or removed. If you feel that I’ve wrongly removed your comment, feel free to contact me via the contact form.
Conclusion
I’ve installed few wordpress plugins such as Keyword Luv, Comment Luv, and Top Commentators in this blog, all of them are DoFollow. If you want to improve search engine ranking and increase your blog’s PR, join the discussion and leave genuine comments.

Lee I mentioned before that my blog was a DoFollow but now I changed it. There are times when someone would just put “hi” “hello” and would not even bother putting useful comments. They just abuse our kind hearts hehehe. But congratulations for the change.

Making the blog to a Dofollow might hurt your blog, but if you modify the comment and control the outbound link, your blog will be safe and achieve even higher PR. I’ve seen many dofollow blog has a PR4 and higher too.

It certainly seems that the DoFollow system is been taken on by a lot of blogs these days and it is great to see you doing it as well, I noticed an increase in comments on my blog when it went DoFollow, though I do have system running that only makes a comments DoFollow after a certain amount of comments, that way loyal commentators are rewarded ;)
