I was asked to write a tutorial on how to create a mybloglog wordpress plugin on our blog. Actually to add mybloglog widget, there are few easy and simple ways to create it. I did try the mybloglog wordpress plugin before, i found that there are a lot of steps need to be done, so i’m not going to teach you this way, you can simply read MyblogLog WordPress plugin to follow steps if you want to use that way.

Of course, hasnun i’m not asking you to follow steps and install yourself, because i’ll teach you another simple way. I assume you have Mybloglog account , go through the steps below :

Tutorial 1

1) Login to your mybloglog account.

2) Find the button at the left hand sidebar as below :

5) Copy the Code and paste it on your widget.

Tutorial 2

If you want something like my mybloglog widget, just copy the code below, change the Mybloglog IP, thats it.

 <div class=”sbColumns recentReaders”>
    <h2><span>Recent Readers</span></h2>
<div>
     MyBlogLog<script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://pub.mybloglog.com/comm2.php?mblID=YOURMYBLOGLOGID&c_width=274&c_sn_opt=n&c_rows=3&c_img_size=f&c_heading_text=&c_color_heading_bg=FFFFFF&c_color_heading=666666&c_color_link_bg=FFFFFF&c_color_link=666666&c_color_bottom_bg=FFFFFF”></script>
    </div>

    <a href=”http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/yjoin/?ref_id=2008070323062837&ref=w” class=”join”>JOIN MY COMMUNITY!</a>

   </div>

Change the bold ID to yours. Paste the code into your widget, thats it =) Hasnun, you can try both of the ways, if you face any problem, do not hesitate to contact me or leave me a comment here, i will help you anytime. Hope this mybloglog widget tutorial can help you guys.

bb community : In my opinion, MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog is almost the same thing. Join community and get blog traffic. But i don’t rely on MyBlogLog too, because my traffic is not come from there =)

I’d like to say thanks for your tutorial. But I have a problem, After i clicked on the widgets link, it automatically provided the code without I do my settings first (there is no option for customizing the style as you described above). Thus, I can not customize the widget style. Can you give some advice? thanx…
