P1 Office Tour

November 6, 2008 · 36 comments

It was last week, P1 had invited my friend to have a visit to their office. My friend asked me to go with him, unfortunately I was too busy last week, so my friend went there with other friends. P1 had launched their product, Wimax at 19th Aug 08 which is 3 months ago. This was what I was waiting for, but unfortunately Wimax didn’t covered my area yet.

Back to the topic, my friend took a lot of photos in P1 Office and I’m going to share it with everybody. If P1 invites anyone to visit their office, I’ll definitely go and have a look there. It looks great!

P1 Office - Service Centre
This is P1 Office’s Customer Service Centre if I’m not mistaken since my friend did not mentioned about it to me. Looks great right? and…

P1 Office - Service Centre 02
While you’re in their office, you can take a rest or chit chatting with your friends over here. Seems comfortable!

P1 Office - Service Centre 03
I name it as their lobby which put a lot of their product over there, you can check all their product or you can take a seat.

P1 Office 04
Somewhere in the P1 office which I don’t know where is it. =p

P1 Product
Ooo, all made from P1. Balloon, glass…etc.

P1 Office Leisure
This is P1 staff benefit. Staff can play some leisure games like pool, football(I don’t know what it’s called)..etc.

P1 Office - Gym
Oh my god! How good does P1 treat their staff?! When my office has such benefit?

P1 Office - Customer Service
“Hi Casey, may I know where is the restroom?”

P1 Office - Customer Testing Area
That’s the place that customer or visitors can test their network speed and etc. Can you see a small black box besides the laptop? That’s their modem, it is what I saw in the PC Fair held in KLCC few months ago.

P1 Wimax Modem
If you don’t like a black one, white one will do.

I’m really jealous to my friend who able to visit P1 office last week. P1 not only provide good customer service, they treat their staff good as well. I hope P1 organize another tour for public again!

Do you visit P1 Office before? If you’re invited, will you go?

P/s : Thanks my friend (Danny) that provided me the photos!

TNH : Definitely it’s better than Streamyx, at least it won’t keep downline. The price is affordable right now while they’re giving free modem which cost RM999 for those who subscribe it. Yes, P1 is planning to cover whole Malaysia with Wimax. It’s going to cover my location which is in Kelana Jaya as well. TNH, where is your location? :)

LOL! My bad. But I’ll let you know here then.

The first 5 photos is the lobby with the customer service center there. The case with all the P1 stuff have green matchboxes too. Though I actually want their purple P1 t-shirt. :P

The football looking thing is fusball. And funnily enough, I don’t if we can request the white modem lor. Coz when I saw it I wanted it. Hahahhaa.

Oh yeah, the device beside it is the USB modem apparently coming out this year or coming year.

dev : Perhaps you can send your resume to them and take a trial? Haha, that’s great to work over there!

Danny : Thanks for the explanation ya! It’ll be great to see the USB device come out soon, but I think if the USB device available and the modem type will be no more “laku” lo..do you think so? But if the network for modem type is more stable than USB 1, then it’s okay lo.

devSoft : Yea, you must go and take a look if you have free time! That’s a nice office! Btw, my office doesn’t like this yet, maybe different company and my company doesn’t require such thing haha! But my company has the benefit that we can take the gym and swimming in a club house in kota kemuning, but it’s far from my area.=.=”

crap..i missed that comment reply..haha
i work as the firewall element manager (sounds boombastic ey?)..basically i manage checkpoint firewalls for my company and a few 3rd party clients. before this, i worked as network analyst where i need to monitor cisco routers, checkpoint firewalls and lots of servers ranging from windows to unix based..

basically i was just promoted from network analyst to my position now. more specialized in a field rather than doing it all…but i’m still involved in routers and servers because sometimes when troubleshooting an issue with a firewall, you need to play around with the routers too and not to mention checkpoint firewalls are installed on various platforms including windows, unix and nokia platforms…have you ever heard of nokia platforms ?

|1f34|-|1r3 : Ooo…sounds professional! Thanks bro for explain what you work in details. Between, I never heard of nokia platforms, do you mind to explain more about it? :)

titan : Haha, I’m not sure about it, maybe when you step in as a visitor and they allow you to walk around their office? :)

|1f34|-|1r3 November 11, 2008 at 4:37 pm

i’m not an epxert for nokia platforms but i can tell you what i know from managing nokia based CP firewalls. it’s like unix platform like others but the main shell it uses it clish.quite different command from your normal bash, more like cisco router commands although it’s different…not really like huawei router commands too. the easier way to manage nokia platform firewalls are using navigator or the web interface for it….makes your like a whole lot easier !

haha…it’s not noob..well let’s just say every people have their own area of expertise…i love that term rather than saying i’m a noob or newbie or i don’t know about this and that.

yes, i’m glad i’m learning a lot of things and i want to learn more. maybe some of the people here came from the same field of expertise as mine.
