Forum posting is another simple way of promoting your site. In your signature you can have a lick back to your website. If your post is useful, the person reading it might be intrigue and will click on your signature to view your website. Imagine if your post is view by hundreds of people each day, that would translate to thousand of unique visitor per month just because of a forum post.

If you are a gifted writer, then you’re in luck. Write as much articles regarding your niche as you possibly can and submit them to article directories. There are a lot of free article directory out there. The best part is that you can include some information about yourself. Normally you are allowed to include a relevant link to your website.

One of the benefits about writing articles is that you are actually putting some keywords relevant to your website. In other words you are actually promoting your website to major search engines and also to the article readers.

I know a lot of people who could definitely do with reading this as they swear by traffic exchange systems which in my experience are not the way to go. Unless all you are after is a number of one time hits.

I have a question though. You mention having back links from websites, forums and also in articles. Do you think that links when posting comments on blogs has any major effect or is it better to focus your attention on the methods mentioned?

i guess its normal idea of all blogger. Most of us will do that in order to get better rank and traffic.

Yes, I did it too, but I made it minimum because I think one-way links are more important than two-way links. Besides of these, doing link exchange with similar niche blog is better than exchange link with different niche blog. Link exchange can’t be doing excessively, do it wisely or Google might ban us for link farm too.

I certainly agree with you that article marketing is costly, the whole process with writing a content with your keywords but yet sound good can be very hard especially for choosing the right tags to go along with your article but the benefits can be quite effective to say the least.
