  1. GeoSurf sounds really good. I generally do not like to install any toolbar in my browsers since they will make the viewing area smaller. But this GeoSurf might be an exception as I think it will help me to design better websites, to more international viewers!

  2. Thats pretty neat actually, I am positive this could be helpful to those who cant view content from their country, I know a friend of mine from Brazil absolutely struggles with that!

Surfing locally has its advantages and disadvantages, to be able to see where competitors have their ads, dissemination areas, design, etc. Unfortunately, there is nothing for me when I work all over Europe with my clients and already has programs that cover the need.

  4. First thing that came to my mind is to see what kind of Adsense ads (of my websites) would appear on various Geo-locations.

Being a Malaysian there’s very limited adverts in the Adsense inventory, and lots of the time the advertisement seems completely irrelevant to the website content… would be assuring to know that the situation is improved in other places, especially in US/Canada and other more (web) developed countries.

The pricing is ok for corporates or professional net marketers, a bit steep if it’s simply for the sake of feeding my curiosity. I guess it won’t hurt using it for free for a few days lol; hope that their company reps won’t be mad if they read this.

  5. GeoSurf… work according to its name.

Like it very much as it useful to Multilanguage sites.

  6. Actually, you can avail this facility without GeoSerf, by setting up many proxies, and switching proxies by say mozilla switch proxy extension. I used that process for quite a long time, I had pretty much streamlined the process to few minutes a day (for swapping non-working proxies). However, it is too much a work and GeoSurf makes it really easy. Plus, GeoSurf is way faster than free anon proxies, so I would say, go for it if you need it.

    • Many proxies (at least pre-2008, I’ve not been using it these days) tend to block online adverts, which beat the purpose if that’s what internet marketers are looking for.

Regardless, it’s plenty of work as you’ve mentioned. Geosurf makes life a bit easier for those who need the service for a reasonable price.

      • Plus, whats the security level on those proxies? Thats why I’ve always avoided doing it the free way like that as I always feared for security issues.

  7. Hey Lee I came across your blog few days back and I have read you 2-3 posts and in every post I get something to learn. I learned about Basekit from one of your posts and now this tool. I will try this too.

  9. Iíve heard about this GeoSurf plugin before, I just donít remember where. Since the plugin has a 5-day free trial, I might as well try it and hopefully it may prove useful business-wise.

  10. I found the flexibility that has been created into this site has been amazing.
