There are many ways to make money from the internet, some may work well or may not work well for your blog or website, so the trial and error progress couldn’t be avoided in make money online journey. I’ve been trying various ways to make money from my blog such as Google Adsense, selling banner ads, selling text link ads, promoting affiliate product, writing sponsored review, flipping websites, providing services and the like, all the methods are working well if you follow the right footsteps to market your blog or website.
I’ve been using these methods to make money online from my blog for quite some times and they’re working well for me, one of the ways that I used to make money is to join web hosting affiliate program. I’ve joined and promoted a few web hosting affiliate program, I’d made some money from web hosting affiliate program, some web hosting companies are very kind and they pay you on time, while some of them are not, I experienced it.
Pick The Right Web Hosting Affiliate Program
There are tons of web hosting affiliate program on the internet and we don’t know which one works well, so we have go through the basic process “trial and error” because we don’t know which web hosting affiliate program. We always try to promote affiliate program from popular web hosting companies such as Hostgator, BlueHost, GlowHost, JustHost and etc. Recently the representative from GlowHost mailed me and asked whether I’m interested with the affiliate program, I went through the affiliate program and found that it’s worth to try as the payout is pretty impressive.
GlowHost not only gives flat rate per sign up, it gives additional 10% commission and extra bonus when you reach certain stage as well. This is the best affiliate payments that I’ve seen so far.
- 1-5 sign ups – $50 per sign up plus 10% of sale
- 6-10 sign ups – $75 per sign up plus 10% of sale
- 11-20 sign ups – $100 per sign up plus 10% of sale
- 21+ sign ups – $125 per sign up plus 10% of sale
Example of calculation:
$50 for sales number 1-5 = $250
$75 for sales numbers 6-10 = $375
$100 for sales numbers 11-20 = $1000
$125 for sale number 21 = $125
$100 bonus for sale number 10 = $100
$200 from your 10% commission = $200
Total Payment : $2050!
You’ll also get extra $100 Bonus for 10 sign-ups and a $500 Bonus on your 50th signup!

If we got 21+ sign up, thats mean $120
per sign up right?
For the 10% bonus, does it mean per sale
or total sale?
If per sale that is very huge…
@YusufJaafar,
No, you have to follow the table and the calculation sample. Let’s say if you get 21 sign up, #22 sign up and above is $125 each. 10% bonus should be for each sale, even it’s for total sale, the commission is still the same right? Says $50 per sale and you get $5 commission, if $500 in total sales and you’ll get $50 commission, the calculation is still the same. :)
Hi,
Well the affiliate program looks good, but how good is the actual hosting of glowhost? Because I would be hesitant to promote something that I have not used myself, or for which I don’t have enough proof/feedback on it’s performance.
I think it would be best to promote a webhost which someones uses themselves and really, from their heart, recommends and promotes it, instead of just recommending for the money.
So I would only recommend the host which I have used, and not just any webhost.
Kindest,
Nabeel
Hi Nabeel,
Yup, you’re right. You should do a research on the affiliate program first before recommending it to people so your reputation won’t hurt when readers come back and complain about the services you refer to them :)

@Nabeel,
You’re right Nabeel, promoting a web hosting that we’ve used before or we’re using would be a plus. GlowHost is an alternative other than the web hosting that you’re using. I personally use Hostgator right now and I promote Hostgator from time to time.
Thanks for the glowhost review, I’ll give it a test run and if it works out well recommend it to clients.
Hi Lee,
GlowHost has very cheap webhosting too. When I found them for the first time, didn’t I believe that they was so cheap, so I had to looking very deep on theirs webpage to see if there was anything hiding, but I was surprise, I found nothing. Glowhost is a very economic and interesting webhosting.
