What is PaidPost ? PaidPost is sponsored post, means you review and write about advertiser’s product and follow their requirement, they approve, you get paid !! Seems like very easy and fast money right ? You get something, but u may need to pay out “something” at the same time. Why i say so ? Because … PaidPost could causes you lost your PageRank(PR) ! If you are serious in blogging for future, i think PR is very important for your blog / website.
Yesterday, I’m curious about PayPerPost, feel very fresh and think to write a paidpost for them and see whether i really can get the money or not. I find a opportunity in PayPerPost site and start writting about the topics. I’m very excited and keep writting, if i’m not mistaken i wrote about more than 500words(is not much for pro blogger) but the paidpost only required 200words. I’m thinking whether i want to post it or not, wan take risk ??
Then i go to 5xmom.com read some of their previous articles about PayPerPost, i read all the posts in category PayPerPost since not much post in this category and i really want to get more info about it. I read a post about “I lost google [pr due to payperpost PPP”, i found that PayPerPost make your PR lost, and your blog dead without PR ! In the end, i regret and lucky that i not posted yet, I just feel a little bit disappointed because all the things i wrote were gone by my own hand, but it’s a good choice for me, i save my blog ! Because … I WANT PAGERANK !!!
So if you want PageRank from Google, don’t ever try to write paidpost in your blog, if not, what can u do ?? Say “ByeBye” to your blog lar …

bird : yes, you will lose your PR if you write paid post. This is why i don’t write paid post in my blog =)
Ya, i agree with you, pay per post pay more than Adsense, it pay $5-100 /post. But you are not qualified to take the paid post opportunity if your blog has PR0.

Hmm..for personal blog..it’s kinda difficult to make money because not much people interest in personal blog, maybe just your friends like it? Besides this, try to place your Google Adsense as high as you can, cut the footer adsense unit and paste to somewhere around top.
I think you need to have a niche blog to make more money, means just concentrate on certain topic. :)
For Nuffnang, it’s kinda difficult to make money even for me because not much metered campaign assigned to us. Back to 2008, I had a lot, but 2009 not. So, I have no idea about this. :)

Yes, my blog is a personal blog but is niche in the sense that it focuses on ‘Creativity for Children’. Lets hope 2009 can bring in more money online. :)
If my post is relevant to my blogs topic and if the article looks professional then what’s the problem. I can include any sites name or description in my article, many people do that, How will Google know that I am being paid for that post ? Obviously I can not mention that “Site ‘A’ is awesome, buy the product from there or blah blah”, It will cut off my reader. And outbound links from any page don’t hurt its PR.
