WebHostingGeeks – The Web Hosting Review Site

by Lee Ka Hoong on December 1, 2009

Choosing the right and reliable web hosting is a very challenge task for a newbie who just steps in to the blogosphere. As for a newbie, they would or wouldn’t know what is web hosting and domain name, which web hosting to choose, what is the pricing, which one is reliable, or which web hosting company gives the best technical and customer support.

These days, there are more and more websites and blogs on the web writing review for the web hosting they’ve been using or they’d used before. Recently, there is a website that has been reviewed by many bloggers and webmasters on the web, the websites provides a lot of information and honest reviews about many web hosting companies, it’s WebHostingGeeks. Since this web hosting review website is a good one, I would like to write a review for this site too.

What Is WebHostingGeeks?

WebHostingGeeks is a website that allows people to share their experiences and reviews about every particular web hosting that they’ve been using. As you know, choosing the right web hosting would be a nightmare for newbie who doesn’t know anything about web hosting, I went through the same process when I first started my online business. So I believe that WebHostingGeeks would be a wonderful site for newbie as they properly explain what a web hosting is.

There is various form of web hosting, such as shared hosting, dedicated hosting, VPS hosting, managed hosting and reseller hosting. WebHostingGeeks gives introduction for all of these forms of web hosting, that would be good for beginner to know a little more about web hosting.

Top 10 Web Hosting – Best Web Hosts (2009)

Besides of the introduction of web hosting, WebHostingGeeks also has a list of  Top 10 Web Hosting Companies in table form. The table contains of various information like ranking, overall rating, features, pricing, web disk spaces, bandwidth, and reviews from the users for every particular web hosting company. With the table form, people can easily compare each other and figure out which is the best web hosting for them.

webhostinggeeks

Choosing the right and reliable web hosting can make you headache because almost all the web hosting companies provide the same features like unlimited web disk spaces, unlimited bandwidth and the like. I personally don’t take pricing into consideration as I believe that you’ll get what you pay for, I have worst experience with my previous web hosting, that was a nightmare for me. In this case, reviews from the users of the web hosting would help to make your decision.

As you can see from the website, there is a “Hosting Review” column within the table, that is the honest review from the users of the web hosting. When you click on the link, it will lead you to a page which contains various information about the web hosting and all reviews from the users. Inmotion Hosting is the Top #1 web hosting as shown in the ranking, currently it has 213 honest reviews from their clients. Clients will share about their experiences with the web hosting – pros and cons.

webhostinggeeks-inmotion-review

All the reviews left by clients are not totally good one, I checked out hosting review from FatCow, it has almost all complaints about the web host. With that said, all the reviews are honest and may not left by the staff of the web hosting company. WebHostingGeeks evaluates every reviews before approving and publishing it.

Besides of the listing of the Top 10 Web Hosting, WebHostingGeeks has several type of listing such as Multiple Domain Hosting, Green Web Hosting, VPS Web Hosting, Dedicated Server Hosting, Free Domain Names, Free Yahoo Marketing and Free Google Adwords. Also, WebHostingGeeks has a Web Hosting Awards section which contains of 12 various awards for the best web hosting in particular category.

My Thoughts

In conclusion, if you’re looking for the best and reliable web hosting, WebHostingGeeks saves your time in doing research from the web. WebHostingGeeks received web hosting reviews, rating and gave web hosting awards since 2004, they have been receiving thousands of reviews for all the web hosting companies on the web, based on the reviews from the clients and I’m sure you should be able to choose the most reliable and suitable web hosting to host your blog and website.

Review sites are great – in any service market, customers need to know what they’re getting, and there’s no-one they’d rather find out from than other customers. WebHostingGeeks really gives a very valuable service to its clients, and I guess that means that’s almost certain to do well. Reviewing services is really something to think about if you want to do something that’s interesting and very interactive online.

It’s nice to have a single place to go and view to get reviews and details about different hosting companies. It makes it simplier for users and they can have a wider range to look at.

It is very crucial to read reviews before choosing a website host. This can give you a good idea of what to expect from that company. If you choose an unreliable host, they can actually hinder your business. So choose carefully.

@Metal Briefcases,
Web hosting is just like a house. If you house collapses, all your furniture will be gone too. I had bad experience with my exist web hosting, my blog was down more than 2 hours (up and down) everyday, that was why I decided to pay more and moved to Hostgator. I have been with Hostgator for few months, satisfy with the performance and their supports too. :)

I saw two posts like here and at Toan’s blog. However, I usually get reviews from those who really use them and justify which is the best from web hosting talk forum and I also keep in my mind that “you get what you pay for” and of course this is a great place for reference too. Thanks

Hi Lee

I found when using a website such as webhostinggeeks these websites are set up purely for the cash. When choosing a web host I always suggest just Google the name of the company you are going to go with. If you can’t find any reviews and they don’t look a scam them why don’t you give them a go.

Hostgator, Dreamhost…..They are started somewhere.

@David,
Usually I will go for big name hosting, Hostgator, Justhost, and etc. I’ve put Dreamhost into consideration, but ended up I decided to try Hostgator. I believe that webhostinggeeks has all affiliate link cloaked in the outgoing link though, but I enjoy reading the reviews from their users, that’s my purpose. :)
