Let me poised some question for you to ponder about before I ramble on further.
“What can you understand by the word ‘enough’?”
“How can you tell if it is ‘enough’?”
“Enough in the sense where you had too much and you no longer can fill up your tummy up with more?”
“Enough in the sense that you had enough of your spouse nagging up on you the whole time and you finally call it quit?”
“Or ‘enough’ in the sense that you are had too ‘much’ of whatever that contradicts your desire?”
“Have you ever had the slightest thought of claiming you had ‘enough’ of making money? Or ‘enough’ of shopping?”
Of course not!
Blogging has inevitably shape the way many make money online. Yes it is indeed so hyped up and many are striving to get their hands on its benefits. Everyone wants to make money and if they see an opportunity to do so by blogging and working online, I bet they will be fixing their eyes on it like a hungry eagle. But how many of us actually does it the proper way. How many of us are actually doing so to really look out for the best interest of our readers? Or are you simply doing it for the sick of doing so you could make a couple of bucks online.
As human, we are constantly looking for the best way to satisfy our inner desire. One of such cravings is the longing to make quick easy money. If you think that you could do so by blogging out here and there, let me just hit this on hard to you. I contradict such beliefs and I am telling you enough is enough. Stop wasting your time on blogging and what more try to make money online with it.
This may sound rather harsh but this is what is happening on the blogosphere at present. As quoted from CNET news, “There is a blog born every half seconds”, “It is over 100 times bigger than it was just 3 years ago”. At such an alarming rate, how many of them eventually are recognized? No I am not saying that every blog that is ever created has the initial desire to make money online with but majority wise – 6:10 would have such yearning and 2:6 are only true to delivering valuable content.
No matter what your niche may be, or industry you ought to write about, your blog needs to be able to justify its own existence. There are no secrets to blogging it right. However, there is a definite way for you to personally judge your own blog. Put yourself in the shoes of a reader and ask yourself this, “Why should I waste my time reading this blog?” Keep an open mind and think of it from the perspective of the readers as blogs are ultimately written for readers to read. It is a question that you seriously need to think about when writing on for your blog. If it is not worth the time to read on, then admit it. It is certainly not worth the time for you to put into either.
Dear bloggers and readers, I don’t write the best blog content in the history of blogging but eminently, I do my best to provide real values for my readers. Therefore hear me out. Go through the statement that I am going to be listing. Provoke your thoughts with it and think hard whether you should continue on wasting your time on your next blog post. In the eyes of a potential reader, here is what they ought to say:
I have a certain amount of time when it comes to reading blog and I am able to dedicate whole heatedly to this blog if the content matters. If it doesn’t, it is not a lost to me because there is inevitably a whole sea of other options for me to go after.
- I have had enough of reading the same old “how-to”. For the last time, I don’t want to waste my time reading something that I have been through 8 times.
- I want to read provoking posts. Post that makes me think and change the way I ought to see matters. I need another side of perspective to see. Of something that I would never have thought I would read on.
- I want to read real genuine articles. Articles that tell me about you, yourself greatly, not some make up tall tale stories. Show me passion in what you do.
- Do not write for the benefits of yourself and your blog. What is it in for me? Are you writing just so you could please the search engines or that you value my interest?
- I will go about liking your articles eventually once I go about gaining interest in you. Therefore, show me more about ‘you’ beneath every post you write and don’t be shy to letting me know who you are inside.
- Keep it entertaining. Do not make it sound as thou you are a professional news man or something. Do not be afraid to give it a twist and tickle my heart in every post that you publish. Better yet, touch my heart with your content.
Constantly put yourself in the shoes of the readers. If you are not wasting their time when it comes to reading, you are certainly not wasting your time when it comes to blogging. Inevitably, enough will never be enough anymore as you are making yours and the reader’s time worthwhile.
What Say you?
Are you being true to yourself, your blog and your readers? Blogging is no ‘game’ and it should be taken seriously. Wake Up! If you truly desire to be known online, make it happen by doing it right.
What do you have to say about this? Please share in your thoughts as I am very eager to hear what others have to say about this.

Your article had quite a few good tips and gave me some things to think about. A blog has to offer some type of value to your readers or else, why would people read it or comeback to it.
I think many new bloggers, including myself, get caught up in just trying to make a quick buck instead of remembering to offer real value to their visitors.
You gotta take blogging serious, put in the work and the hours, that’s if you’re trying to make a business or take it seriously. But some people like to blog for fun or have their own reasons for blogging too. :)

Keep blogging as your part-time, maintain you work as usual until it bring more income or exceed your income of usual working. I think you can give up your job at that time.

Hi,
You acted up on your own advice as this was indeed a thought-provoking article!
I really like it when people act upon their own advice in an article. But I really do not like when people do not even follow their own advice in an article.
I agree with all your thoughts. We have to ponder over our blogs and posts, and check if we are really just wasting our time or are we providing real value?
Kindest,
Nabeel
P.S.Typo’s in post:
‘But how many of us actually does (do) it the proper way’
‘Or are you simply doing it for the sick (sake) of doing so you could make a couple of bucks online.’
Hi Febap,
Some points that you make me ponder about. To provide value to your readers, you must have real passion and forget about what blogging can bring to you initially when you start up. Focus on writing good content and providing value is the way to go. Too much focus on the benefits will cause you to lose your focus.
Talk to you soon.

Everybody is greedy to earn money in the whole life. What i think is to learn to know enough of everythings including money.
We blog for business. Plain and simple. Unfortunately, the only folks that are interested in reading about our niche are home buyers who want to buy a home. Since folks only buy a home every 5-10 years, there isn’t a constant flow of readers.

We get a lot of phone call and mail from visitor on our blog who want to know more and that’s good for the business.

Wow! One of the most sensible articles I’ve read about “blogging to make money” or should I say “blogging not to make money”. I’ve seen a lot of blogs that talk non-sense and have ads plastered all over their pages. It’s such a shame that very few give real value like this article. Yet they all think that they putting up those ads, they’ll earn money easily.

Wow that’s a lot of blogs being created and only about a couple of them succeed. People think blogging is an easy way to make money and when they realize how hard it is they give up. If you enjoy blogging and blog about a topic that interests you, the money will come. Doing it just for the money will surely lead to failure.
