Win $1000 From DesignCrowd – Just Blog It

As you know I’m holding a $800 worth of cash prize and premium themes giveaway contest now, you should participate it now if you want to win some prizes. Other than this, I get to know that DesignCrowd is holding a huge cash prize giveaway contest on their site too and I think I should take part and give it a try.

How To Enter?

You just have to write about DesignCrowd in your blog or website and submit the URL via the form in the contest page. What you should do next is collecting as many tweets or diggs as you can. You may need to follow their guidelines before you get started, or you’re wasting your time and effort.

  • Each blog must include an explanation of DesignCrowd in your own words
  • Each blog must include at least 250 words
  • Each blog should include honest comments
  • Each blog must include at least 1 link to DesignCrowd
  • To be eligible for the 1st place award you should submit your blog to either Digg or Twitter
  • Blogs should not take text from DesignCrowd verbatim
  • Entrants be over 18 years of age
  • Blog entries will not slander DesignCrowd or its designers

How To Win?

If your blog post receives the most tweets or diggs, then you’ll win the grand prize. Even you’re not receiving the most tweets or diggs, you’ll still win the 2nd prize if the blog post receives up to 50 tweets or diggs.

Prizes

1) 1st Place ($1000) – Blog post that receives the most Tweets on Twitter.com or Diggs on Digg.com.
2) Everyone Else ($20 each) – The first 50 blogs to get over 50 Tweets or Diggs.

Deadline

Deadline for the contest will be 28th May 2010.

What Is DesignCrowd?

DesignCrowd is a market place where businesses and designers can be engaged and work together. It includes logo design, web design and graphic design.

Businesses can post their requirements, set the budget and deadline, DesignCrowd will publish their requirements into the market place. Designers will design the logo, web, or graphic based on the requirements. Businesses can choose the design that they like the most.

Benefit : There is tons of choice of design for them, they can pick the only one that they like.

Designers can search job from the market place. Once they find the job and requirement which they can do, then they will start designing the logo, web or graphic based on the businesses’ requirement. They will need to submit the design to DesignCrowd and get feedback from client. If the client approves the design and designers will get paid.

Benefit : There is tons of businesses in the market place and they pick the client that they like to work with.

At the end, DesignCrowd only charges 10% as a commission from the designers, it’s fair enough for all parties.

Final Word

It’s huge cash prize contest that I’ve never joined before and I would like to ask for your help to tweet this post and help me to win this contest. If I win the contest, I’m going to give away $200 for another contest!

      @JJ,
      I’m not sure when they start the contest, I wrote about it when I got to know about the contest. The contest will be ended soon and I don’t think I can overtake 1st and 2nd leader now. Anyway, just enjoy the contest!
      Thanks for leaving a comment here JJ!

        Yes to do well with these kinds of contests you really have to start at the beginning of the contest. If you start half way through, it is usually too tough to catch the leaders. A lot also comes down to who has the bigger mailing list and more traffic.

        • Lee Ka Hoong says:

          @Jeremy,
          You may be right, or not. The winner in this contest joined and promoted at the last 2nd day before the contest ended. Sometimes it depends on how you work on that and how effective is your promotion.

  10. Jeremy from Laptop Briefcase says:

    It seems that so many websites are offering some kind of twitter/blog related contest these days. It makes me tempted to start up a similar contest for my employer’s website. I think it would be a great way to get additional exposure, especially if you can get lots of people to take part in the contest.

    • Lee Ka Hoong says:

      @Jeremy,
      Blog contest is getting more and more popular in blogosphere, let me know if you organize a contest in your site or blog too, I may consider to join if time permits. :)
